File Master 2006

Hi guys,
my first tool for FIFA 06 is almost ready for beta-test, I hope to complete it during this week-end. "File Master 2006" is a file system manager for FIFA. Give a look to the screenshot.
You can navigate big files as a compressed folder, import, export, remove, rename, compress, decompress and search files. At each operation fat and bh files are updated automatically. Of course you can also start a complete regeneration everytime you want. There is a hash mechanism for fsh files in order to avoid the well known problem of two teams with the same kit. Each file is identified with a type based on a configurable name matching, so you can distinguish immediately kits, faces, banners and so on.
Right from now a special thank to Arushan that helped me to understand the file system structure.

As soon as the beta version will be available I will post here the instructions to download it.

This is only the first step so.... stay tuned!

Preferably all the files in your data folder and subfolders but a good start are all your zdata.big files and your fifa.db and language.db files as those are really the most critical.

I already have a couple of beta-testers in Italy and the program seems to work fine, right now. To work safely you should back-up at least .fat, .bh and all the big you are going to try to modify.

Rinaldo which fatrebuilder does File Master use? If it's Fifafs.exe beware, I found a huge bug in it, it's corrupting files in the zdatas.big (especialy zdata5 and 6)

Completely written by myself (with the help of Arushan for understanding the file system structure).

It's a matter of compression. A Green Star denotes a compressed file so probably it has been compressed twice, maybe you have imported using the "compress option" an alrady compressed FSH file. Usually you should work with uncompressed FSH files (red fish for EAgraph) and compress them when importing in the big.
Hope this can help.

Hi Rinaldo! I'm now testing your program and I was wondering which kind of files should hashed after imported. I know for sure that fonts file need to be hashed, as in Fifa 2005 they swapped or copied each other without hashing. Which other files (faces, kits, banners and so on) need to be hashed to make them correctly work in game? Thanx! :ewan:

Many fsh files have a hash signature. I have not a complete map of which files, the program searches inside each file and if it finds the signature the file is hashed. By the way: kits, banners. logos, faces and hairs are all hashable If you want to learn how to discover this by your self send me a private message.
