Fifa2003: PS2 Version.

Got ps2 version of fifa2003 this morning, had to wait until 5.15pm to play it (mate was at work, well i was too until 4pm),

loaded it up, and it wasnt very sharp looking, like pc demo version, its all cloudy and looks shocking imo.

It could of been my living room tv, but i doubt it was, alot of the time it was very poor to look at, looked liked Playstation 1 gfxs, i was using Tower cam, maybe this is why it looked so poor.

Keepers are ****, they dont even dive for alot of free kicks, it goes about 2 feet away from them and the leave it, when any person in the world could just stick out a leg.


Computer seems to help alot on crossing, if u cross it the cpu will clear it for u or score for u, wtf the point in this? i wanna score a goal by my self, not have the computer scoring for me.

if u knock the ball away from a forward in the area and running towards ur goal, u cant stop the player/ball, they keep running in the goal, even if u let go or try and turn them around.

Some kits are bad, Names and numbers are ****, names are too small for long named players and numbers look ****.

The menu loading is very very slow, u ctick and have to wait for a while for it to load again.

also white players look black, Ferdinand and Veron etc are dark black.

Ronaldo isnt in the Brazil team O_o

Forlan is a 10 at shooting ???? this guy hasnt scored for man utd in open play in about 30 matches

When players injuried they still run the same and as fast etc.

Only good thing i found was, as Liverpool the fans sing, "ull never walk alone" at the start

Bad thing is, the ps2 version will never get updated, so all this mistakes wont get fixed :/

PC demo > Full version of PS2

lets hope the pc version and/or Xbox version are alot better, cos the GC will be the same as the ps2 version imo.

ps2 is crap!!!

i think ps2 sucks....
i've played wc2002 on both ps2 and xbox, and there is a difference in graphics and game speed. the xbox is much better... of course the pc version should be the best one since u can edit everything....
I also remeber the ps2 world cup game was kinda laggy, it felt like i was playing on-line with a 38kb modem, and also loading was pretty slow.
let's hope the game is much better on xbox, as I will be getting it for it

Xbox is the best console now, ps2 doesn't even get close, xbox loading is very fast and the graphics are the best. I don't know why ppl like ps2 instead of xbox, maybe because of the games but xbox has some pretty good ones like Halo, project gotham racing, timesplitters 2, etc. and much more good to come like fifa 2003. Xbox all the way!!!, Xbox Live coming, should be pretty good, does any1 know if timesplitters will be compatible with Xbox Live? Because if it is, I a sure I will buy it. Well cya.

That is very depressing news. Im going to get it for PC, but I doubt that it will be much different from the PS2 version.

I find this pretty hard to believe. I'm PRETTY sure (and I think most other people would back me up on this) that the game doesn't come out until tomorrow, bud. Who knows, maybe what you're saying about the game turns out being the truth, but I find it tough to believe someone who says they have a game that hasn't come out yet.

Actually the game got officially released in the UK today (24th) but only on PS2.

PS2 vs PC = no competition !!

Wow, pretty bad news for PS2 users. I played the XBOX version and thought it was great...I am sure Ronaldo was in the squad! Well, I think he was anyway!!

1) PS2 sucks with graphics, so that's not unusual
2) I don't believe the computer scores for you? Maybe you weren't controlling. Maybe it was a CPU vs CPU match??
3) Players can walk and run even if they're injured. Unless they have broken something (even then it's possible -> premiership last year the guy who played with a broken neck). I know a player (HEITINGA from Ajax) who injured his knee very bad, but continued for 25 minutes. And he was running!!!
4) also white players look black, Ferdinand and Veron etc are dark black. So??? They aren't white as well, are they??
5) Maybe he's called Ronaldo Luiz Nazarro blablabla?? Maybe he's a substitute?
6) Because players have a 10 at shooting, doesn't mean he scores much in regular matches. Frank de Boer has a great shot, but doesn't score so much, so what's your point???
7) Maybe there's something wrong with your controller??

If it's really as bad as you say...... ......then it's too bad for all the PS2 gamers!

Hope they did a good job on the PC and Xbox version....

Yeah it might suck for us PS2 users, but I wouldn't be so certain. There WAS a whole other thread about the PS2 version being good. I'm sure the XBox version is better to look at (that's a given) but I still don't think the PS2 game will be much worse than it. PS2 isn't THAT bad is it? I don't think so anyway.

P.S.- PS2 is better than XBox... it has GTA 3 and Vice City... LOL Just kidding, XBox is cool.

You people do realize that though XBox will be a bit smoother, and more appealing graphically (not by too much...but yes) than PS2...but the gameplay and rosters will be the same.

I find it hard to believe that Ronaldo is not on the Brasil team...I really doubt that.

Ronaldo wasnt starting and wasnt a sub, maybe he had a differnet name or u could pick him before the match, but i didnt really look that hard and i doubt he would be a non starting player or a sub.

Shooting is good, the way forwards/good shooters have less red bars and crap shooters have alot, makes it more likely for a real goal scorer to score.

It was human vs human, i crossed the ball low from the wing and the computer did a 1 timer to finish it for me,

The cpu also did it alot of times to clear the ball.

oh yeah a nice part about the game is u can pick wot kit u want to use before the match (well in friendlies), also stops colour clashes.

Yeah that is complete BS... I have seen Ps2 videos, GC videos , Xbox and PC videos.. the Ps2.. is 1 1/2 older then xbox.. of course teh graphics arnt as good, thats normal.. but they are only slighty worse... And stillvery good to look at.. who cares.. The game will be the same right down the line.. graphics will differ slightly... thats it..

Also, goof about the computer clearing the ball for you.. thats a good thing... there are 11 guys on the field you should have a lil help.. and btw all konami soccer games do the same thing.. your backs will clear a ball for you.. with you controll him and they will also stretch to poke a ball in the goal with out you controlling them..it more rare on the attcking side... I do not consider this a bad thing.

PS if you graphics are cloudy etc.. you should check your tv or cables connect the two... cause it bs that the ps2 version is like that.. All the pics and videos show the exact opposite.
