FIFA07 CMP patches compatible with FIFA 08?

I would like to know if FIFA 07 patches are compatible with FIFA 08.

I recently imported a patch from FIFA 07 for FIFA08 using CM, but after saving my changes, I started the game but it crashed right away.

I am aware the kits aren't compatible, so I imported new kits as well.

However, the game still doesn't work.

Anyone have any advice to make the game work, or are the FIFA07 patches just unusable in 08?

Just wanted to add a few things.

The players from the patch were visible, although their pictures were missing.

Also, when I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled, it worked fine.
My regular CMP patches for 08 work fine and I have no trouble playing.
The game won't work only when I load the 07 patches.
