Arsenal won the PL, Bergkamp gave a lot of assists and played beautiful.

I guess you dont watch the PL a lot? If you do, you have to admit that Bergkamp is so much better than Ruud. Ruud is a guy who feels where the ball is gonna land to tip it in, and scores a few nice goals in a season. But Bergkamp shows almost every game how beautiful soccer can be. He doesnt score as much as Ruud, and although Bergkamp is a little older than Ruud, Ruud comes not even close to Bergkamp if you compare their soccerquality. PERIOD!

Havent seen any Arsenal games recently, but few weeks ago Bergkamp was in a superb form, also Ruud has been out for long time and is far from hes best form.

Bergkamp is a Legend.Ruud not yet.But past dosent mean nothing (err i still dont understand what does) in choosing Player of the year.

Bergkamp and Ruud are both forwards, (seems to me you dont care about) .Good forward is a foward who scores goals, not who plays pretty or how does he score, important is that you do score, dosent matter if its a tap in or a shot from 30 meters.

Dont get me wrong i respect Bergkamp alot even tho he plays for Arsenal.
But saying that Ruud is not a quality player is wrong.Ruud IS one of the best strikers in the world, Bergkamp WAS one of the best forwards in the world.

I am not talking about the past, Bergkamp is still playing like he is 20y. He dont score a lot, but he let people score, he gives a lot of assists, and is almost on the beginning of every Arsenal Goal.

Ruud scores a lot, but by most goals he has to thank the player who gave the perfect pass to tip it in. I cant remember a goal that he scored that he had created his self, always depending on the players around him. If the players around him dont play well, Ruud almost never scores.

Bergkamp is such a type that strikers depend on, without him, they would score not so much. Thats why i think Bergkamp is a better player. The Title is for the BEST PLAYER, not for the the player who score the most goals. So i judge them by soccerquality and how they play. Bergkamp is still a better player. But i have mine opinion and you got yours, and i guess we both stick to it.
