I too think that in a perfect world, the fans wouldn't be punished... but I don't think there's any alternative...

by the way, 6 matches we going to play without any fans have to be played in a slightly "unpopular" and distant country so turkish FA is thinking about playing in TURKMENISTAN

ha ha ha

i hope we play every game, in an another asian-turkish country :rockman:

we can also play in bosnia :rockman:

The fans around the tunnel DID throw missiles at the Swiss players. That is very clear by the TV pictures.
When you say that the Turkish Fans would not have let the Swiss players out of Turkey alive.....that is exactly why You people are not wanted in the world of football.Every one gets pissed off at one decision or another, but to threaten peoples lives over a stupid game of football just shows how uncivilised attitudes are from certain Turkish people. You should be ashamed of a statement like that.

haha well-deserved, especially the stupid assistant coach. He started it all and it does him justice to sit at home for a year.

All in all we learned our lesson and i personally believe we got off easy. It could have been much much worse. I just think we will miss Emre in our National games other then that the neutral field thing is bad but could have been worse, we could have gotten banned from competitions. all i know is we better learn from this **** or else we have to be the dumbest country in the world.

its a really racist decision. head of fifa is swiss, (sepp blatter) and now he is making sure his beautiful people are all pleased about his "superman" comments.
why?
yes i admit the players were crazy on the pitch and stuff BUT there were no outside incidents from the fans. (i mean come on, if there was, swiss players wouldnt be able to leave turkey alive) i swear on my family (i was there) the crowd had done nothing, it was all in the pitch after the game.
so why 6 matches? why punishing the crowd? i honestly want some sensible answers.
Racist my ass. Make your god damn excuses all you want but you do the crime be prepared to do the time. And to say the players wouldn't be alive if the fans had acted up, well that just proves your an idiot. Over a football game? Please, if you believe that and your countrymen believe that I hope FIFA ban Turkey from any games of football.

Fifa stated that the games must take place in a UEFA affiliated country. They were one step ahead of the turkish FA there then.

Emre5...thank you mate.....people like you can change the opinions, many people might have(often unfairly) of the turkish people.Good on you :rockman:

They wouldn't be allowed in even if you played it on Mars.

i know that, but i think at least the country we will play in has to be similar to our culture and people. (for the players and management) our players will probably arrive at that country like 2 weeks or maybe even earlier than match day, so bosnia i think will be the pick of FA , if you ask me.
even behind closed doors, playing in bosnia will be very nice.

note- no matter what, we will get 6/6 from our matches. we are a very good team and the only think that stops us from victory is our underestimation. we underestimate the opponents. switzerland game proves this. first game we underestimated, and when we took it serious, we scored 4 goals to a team that never conceded that many throughout the group stage.. we are very eager to show everyone what we are capable of. ofcourse what happened is a shame for football and we are sorry for that. but still punishing the fans are not justified. someone said that they threw missiles to the pitch, wow. 6 matches for that? very fair indeed , very fair.. (again, i want to say one more time, the players deserved their punishment, and maybe even more but not the fans)

I think that it's a bit weird that FIFA decided to punish hard NOW that it was Turkey, but having that said, it's a huge step in the right direction. I understand some of the Turk frustration though, there have been many incidents like this one, or even worse that have gone almost unpunished. Let's hope FIFA starts slamming teams hard in the future just like they did Turkey and teams/players will think twice about pulling sh*t off like that.

PS: You're welcome in Bosnia anytime my turkish brother.

Capa....the world does not hate Turks man.The world hates all violent and psychotic people.EMRE5 is a Turk but he is a sensible guy.He does not threaten to kill people at a football match. You defend missile throwing and think that a 6 match ban for the fans is too much. Its a fair punishment i think. Will the Turkish fans now stop throwing missiles? They had better stop because next time it happens,Turkey will be thrown out of competition. Is that what you would like?If not then the fans have to learn to behave.
We are cultures apart me and you. What must seem normal behaviour to you is just unacceptable to me.Your teams assistant coach kicked out at a Swiss player right?Thats like Steve Mclaren doing the same thing at an England game.It would not even enter McLarens head to do something as bad as that but in Turkey we see it.
To be accepted into the rest of Europe ,your country has to change its outlook on many things.Already Turkey no longer has the death penalty. The government wanted to keep it but to join the EU,it had to go.You would have been the only country in Europe that still had it.Thats just a first step and one example where things just have to change in the countries mentality.
I have Turkish mates who cheered when the Turkish players attacked the Swiss players.I was shocked by that. That is just the sort of thuggish uncivilised behaviour that the world has to witness almost every time a team from Turkey take the stage.
I remember going to a Chelsea/Besiktas game in Germany. The Besiktas fans were like nothing i had seen before, and i grew up going to football in the 70's when the violence at football was common.I'm not talking about the Besiktas fans being vocal,I'm talking about the threats, the knives being waved,(Why do so many Turks carry knives?)the constant spitting and the bags of s.hit being thrown at us.Why would so many people want to s.hit in a bag and throw it at other people? Its beyond my comprehension.
Well thats a little insight into why i am wary of some Turkish people.I have seen countless examples of behaviour from them that belongs in the dark ages and not in the 21st century.
Its not just about the behaviour of the people.Every country in the world has crazy people, but not many governments in the world would defend such terrible behaviour. From the outside,it looks as if even the Turkish Government consider it as normal.

Pede, we turks might be a little bit out there when we talk about football.
BUT, as an english friend, you have NOTHING to say in this business.
a french, dutch , spanish , italian even, can say whatever. but you cannot talk about my people in that manner, if your people are the creators of hooliganism in the world. in every world cup, isnt it the english fans, world cup officials are always concerned for? getting drunk and fighting at the streets? dont talk about 21st century. i know people like you. you think you are so cool and civilized, United States of America (I call them the father of EU) also has this rule about death penalty. so dont make it sound like its something only we did it for years. and if you ask personally, i think its wrong , the governement shouldnt have cancelled the death penalty.
i bet you hate me now. but you will act civilized. i thank you for that. i wish my people are highly educated like you are. but i guess not. :hump:

also- turks dont carry knives. dont they teach you not to stereotype in your sweet kingdom? :fool:
(dont worry, generally speaking we are pretty strong people, we can defend ourselves without knives)
also2-so its only turkish fans throw those missles and stuff in the european football? i guess inter-milan derbies in the recent year dont remind you anything. the game was canceled man !! canceled!!
