Fifa is Realistic?

I just read a review on IGN.com which claimed that fifa is more simulation-based than arcade-based.

This surprised me as I remember the brilliant ability for a defender to speed burst with the ball up the other end and score.

I mean if FIFA is less arcadey then the N64's ISS is almost the real thing.

This means PES3 must be real life.

Do americans really consider FIFA to be realistic?

I can guarantee that everybody I know here thinks FIFA is a pile of crap. It's for kids under the age of 12. Anybody with a real interest in soccer plays Winning Eleven 6:I or 7.

Remember, that FIFA is also the biggest seller in Europe as far as soccer games go and the rest of the world so don't blame us for it's success. It's a pile of crap and I don't expect FIFA 2004 to be much better!

well.. since we havent played fifa 2004 is hard to tell. They claim to have concentrated on gameplay this year.. so who knows.. I doubt it will be better than pes3. But as long as is good to play, then the online play aspect is gonna be good

The depth in FIFA 2004 will be a major attraction. I'm sure the gameplay will be better than last year but next year will be the big battle after PES3 on the PC has had time to settle in.

am i right in understanding that pes3 will be released on the PC.

your right it is the depth that sells the game i bought it for past 4 years.

i bin looking for an alternative for fifa04 if it aint improve drastically from fifa 03.

Well after looking at those pre release Fifa 2004 vids, there seems to be a slight diff from Fifa 2003 in the flow of the game, but other than that it looks to me at this stage to be nothing more than a 'biffed' up version of 2003, hope that i eat my words later on and the game does turn out to be playable and enjoyable, and most importantly realistic. ... :)

I dont think its a pile of crap. Its not brilliant, but its not a pile of crap either. Bit of a generalisation to say everyone will think its crap.

Have you played 2004? if not how can you say it will be crap? It may turn out to be ok

FIFA 2004 = fun for some two days, blinding shinny graphics, teeth, lots of licenses even for unknown teams from the north corner side of Siberia, but then again like always, it turn out to be only a two days fun of playin` and some ten months of endless editing for some people, cos` we just got too ****in` bored with it . . .

Fifa 2004 = fun for no amount of time, its a piece of crap in side the plastic wrapping. Not worth 10 bucks, let alone 50.

Having played every FIFA since its inception, and nearly all of them being crap (re 99,00,01, 02, 03) I think it's a safe bet 04 will be crap too there champ. Every year, new promises that it will be revolutionized, yet it invaraibly turns out to be regurgitated rot, with the same graphics from last year and the same gay gameplay.

I do think it's a pile of crap.

Put it this way, I played FIFA 03 for two weeks, never played it again and traded it in. WE6I has been in my PS2 since March 14th and never been out of it since. I've not played another game.

It's not a generisation to say that therefore. It's a fact son.
