All those goals against weak competition in 7-1 wins are a distraction. Yes it's impressive, but it does not help his team get closer to a title. And this is a team game; the player that helps his team succeed the most is the best player, NOT the player that scores the most goals over the course of a season. Basketball fans struggle with this concept too; fans go crazy because Kobe dropped 81 on an awful Raptors team that was getting taught a lesson by their coach who refused to switch defenses... the Lakers were the 6 seed that year and got bounced in the first round of the playoffs. The CL Final and the end of last year's La Liga Season demonstrate this all. Ronaldo did fuck all and Madrid choked away the title. He was anonymous the entire CL Final and then celebrated as if his penalty was the decider. Because it's all about Ronaldo, not about Real Madrid. When Bale scored the winner, Ronaldo couldn't give two shits. Similar thing against Bayern in the Semis: anonymous first leg, then two meaningless goals when Bayern threw everything forward down 3-0.

Just because he is a Barcelona player doesn't mean that he needs to be there. Mus has already justified his omission which makes absolute sense.

This award is for 2014 isn't it? Not the 2013-2014 seasom. i.e. from January till now. Suarez has missed 4 months because of his stupidity already.
