Im picking it up in two hours when I go on my lunch break and cant wait!
No online for me though, modded xbox dont let me, but Ill get the PS2 to go online with and use my xbox just for manager mode and the improved graphics.

Had a chance to tinker and play a few games last night. I never bought 06 and only played the 06 PS2 demo. This feels like a world of difference from 05... here are my first impressions:
Visuals:
I'm not sure this game is an improvement visually. Things look too dark sometimes (especially on night games) or just lacking color and contrast and what's with all the blurriness? It comes and goes depending on camera view and zoom. Otherwise when zoomed in things look pretty sharp. Should be since it's 720p... although S-Video probably isn't doing it justice but the blurriness is inexcusable.
The pitches look crappy... at least in Kickoff friendlies. I'm wondering if they start out green in Manager mode and wear during the season?
Gameplay:
Game speed still seems way too fast even on SLOW setting. Players move like they’re on speed.
Ball physics are much better... feels much more free form. Can actually play the ball into space and run after it.
Corners & Free Kicks are overhauled significantly and much more challenging now without the visual aids. Love the amount of options with the layoff man and call an attacker.
Controls:
Decent control options... plenty of tricks to learn on the right stick. Doesn't feel like they work all the time though, feels like you have to really work the sticks or do it just right. Depends on the player ability but also seems to depend on the direction he's running. Requires some practice so that's not a bad thing. Love the one two pass!
Team mentality and tactics seem confined to the match unless I'm not seeing something in the menu... looks like you can adjust your starting 11 and formation only.
Man marking is a nice overdue addition!
Online:
Haven’t played a game yet but the Online component looks way better... Interactive leagues is an intriguing feature with the rivals match search etc. Builds communities of club fans and provides another option to online competitive play.
Store:
Still seems like you have to do A LOT (as in play through several leagues) to get the big points for unlocking all the stuff. This was a big frustration with 05. Guess using the visual sim on amateur difficulty could help here. The Challenges provide plenty of things to do... some sound really hard. I’d rather have balls & kits available and just have to unlock special stuff.
Clubs/Teams:
The usual here... addition of Turkish & Polish leagues should make some people happy. Interesting club addition is the South African team Orlando Pirates (very cool badge!).
The usual complaints: why can't we have all the international teams from the most recent World Cup? No Holland as usual as well as some others. Although I suppose you can create them via the create a club feature.
The international selections is pretty cool... gives you access to every player and what club they play for.
Gotta explore Manager Mode now!

Did you turn off auto-save? If so you may have forgotten to manually save your profile after the accomplisment. Otherwise I'm not sure.
mmm never thought of making Holland in Create a Club niceeee. I agree with the stick moves , it reacts slow and it does seem u have to do it in the perfrct motion to get it right ahh yess HOPEFULLY practicing will make it better.

Nahhh you should be able to get points through Kickoff... you can go pick the challenge and then pick your teams. I've done a few challenges through Kickoff friendlies and got points for them. You might have to reset your settings though because the challenges usually change them.

have any of u played xbox live yet? WTF is up with the rankings, it sucks, you barely get any points for winning, and you cant even progress because your points carry over from Fifa 06, which is a horrible idea.

Haven't played a game online yet but the weird thing is when I was on there it said there were 38 players or so online... but all the lobbies were empty? Can't figure that out... would think someone would be in a lobby.
Has ne one here having problems with the moves like i move my joystick a couple times and then player will do a move meaning that itss very delayed and with a great skilled player as well?
and also do u guys get alot of red cards?
THIS FIFA is great, the only problems EA need to fix is goalies fi they can do that than this its be reallllyy crazy

Been playing manager mode... much deeper than before. Transfers and contracts are a challenge. Be prepared to fork up the dough! Love the search capability and shortlist.
Staff upgrades are important but pricey... gotta have them for fitness though my team is worn out! Team chemistry is tough... doing ok with fanbase and job security.
No Man of the Match award which is odd. Match ratings have seemed high for everyone accept subs.
Like the media and fan reaction, sponsor contracts etc. The roar of the crowd in extra time with 1-0 lead showed their hunger for a win after a few frustrating draws.
