Great ideas mate, but I really don't think that EA is gonna use them... They have their own "brilliant" ideas, so, next year we'll gonna watch all that fancy movies with developers in it where they will explain how they are planning to give us a never-seen football simulation with "groundbreaking" gameplay....
Man, I'm too tired with trying to give some constructive suggestions which could actually help those people in Canada. But, no. They are the smartest...

I just want Freddy Adu - and since EA probably won't have made much changes to the simple things in the game (such as making sure that a U-18 player can't play on the regular squad until he's 18... hey, if you can throw in to your keeper in FIFA 2004, you should be able to do this in 2005), I'll throw him onto Manchester United and dominate with a 15 year old in the Premiership. Sickening, really, that a 15 year old would be able to do that... Maybe I'll even make a team of youngins, and use only players 18 or 19 and under.

Actually, I was just driving around and thought about something else that I'd want. Not only have the players playing their correct positions (this always seems to happen with some players - on New England Revs, Taylor Twellman is setup as a defender, but he's really one of their best strikers), but more realistic "rating adjustment" depending on where you put your player in the game.
For example, if I put Ryan Giggs on the right side of the pitch, he's not going to be as effective as on the left side, and therefore, his ratings should decrease. Or if I put a striker as an outside midfielder or as a wingback, then the ratings should change. Likewise, although Roberto Carlos makes a decent defender in the game (pretty shoddy tackling rating), his overall should go up if he's placed at left wing - look at how high his passing skills, pace, stamina, shot power, and shot accuracy are.
Its things like this that just take a little bit more programming and effort that result in a much better game. Hell, if Madden 2004 can do it, FIFA should be able to, as well. Maybe the FIFA guys just need to call them to find out what to do... To prove my point, in Madden, if you play a left guard at center, he may have a higher overall rating (depending on what the ideal center's ratings should be), but obviously, if you play the poor guy at wide receiver, his ratings are going to plummet.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned but they should include classic international teams and classic club teams that would be great!! They do it in Madden and Nba Live why not FIFA?

Some notes I've seen throughout the forum, that I think should be fixed in the current Fifa, never mind the '05 version:

Yellow'n'Green
===========

"The career mode really is mucked up.
I finished 2nd in Div2 in my first season, and the play-offs were simulated because 4th place got promoted too. But if they don't happen when you finish in the play-off places, that's just crap.
Also, the promotions and relegations aren't done for all of the leagues, only the ones that effect you. I got promoted into div 1 along with two other teams, and 3 got relegated from Div1. But no-body was relegated from the Premiership and promoted into the Premiership from div 1. So the 04/05 season in Div1 has the same teams as the season before, except for the ones promoted from Div2!
Finally, the teams score and conceed loads of goals. Most of the top 6 scored about 120 in Div2 and conceeded about 100!"

"Career mode is really messed up. I finished my second season with Manchester United, I accomplished every goal, including the score more than 70 goals (I had 157). Yet, when the new season rolled around, it said I hadn't achieved that goal and failed to award me the 800 points and the rest of my manager stars.
I find the gameplay in FIFA2k4 good, yet the career mode and the menu system is really really poor."

"i just completed my first season in english division 1
i dint get promoted, but teams did, and some got relegated from the prem, and some got promoted from second, so that all looks fine
Although, I "view squads" section, too look at charlton (charlton, leicester and leeds got relgated /snigger) and it still said they were in prem there"

so true man... but not just madden, NBA live also has this (if you change a PF into SG his rating will decrease).
I would also like to see what foot do the players use and according to that you could place them either left or right...

EA have "anonymous" users reading these forums all the time. they dont reply, for obvious reasons. the only way you can get there attention is by posting here and hoping they see it.

The wishlist idea over at breamster.com concentrates solely on wishes for 2005 so its the best place to have your say, as it will be guaranteed they will be looking at it.
