I am an avid pes fan or a pes fanboy, for many years i played the fifa games because basically on the pc that was all there was, then when pes3 came out for the pc i was instantly converted , I am still very much looking forward to pes4, my son has an xbox so i bought him the new fifa 2005 as he wanted a soccer game to play, we sat down and played a match me being arsenal and my son being liverpool , the match ended up being a 1-1 draw and arsenal won via a penalty shoot out, i then sat and thought wow i cannot remember when i last enjoyed playing a fifa game as much as this one, i still don't believe it's as good as pes 3 but i do think it's a fantastic game to play, i think the first touch feature is a massive plus and also the 15 seasons you can play through is great, fifa fans must be very encouraged by easports latest offering.

Having played both Fifa 05 and Pro Evo 4 on the ps2 there is simply only one winner, and that is of course Pro Evo. It is without doubt the best football game ever and Fifa is dreadful in comparance. PLy a few more games on fifa and you will find out just hoiw boring and scipted it is, especially if you play against the CPU which has the AI of a turnip. Pro Evo on the other hand is simply brilliant. No goal is ever the same, the CPU is highly intelligent, attacking from all angles, and even the grpahics are closing in on Fifa. Pro Evo is a much slicker piece of software alround, with far less silly errors that EA seem to turn out every year. Play a bit more Fifa, and when you quickly get bored of it, just pick up a copy of Pro Evo, its outstanding.

I too am getting imense enjoyment out of Fifa. And when WE4 comes out I will get that and enjoy it too, and I will still play them both and get enjoyment out of both.

DICKus (remember me i gave u the idea for ur new nick;) ) its PES 4 that is comming out we already have WE 8 for Asian market!!
