No. Taking out a league won't make matters any better. EA got the rights to put in all of the English leagues. Taking one out would be really pointless. It would be one less league. Taking out one league wouldn't gain another league.

Ugh.

There's no such thing as a German BundesLiga 3, only 1 and 2.

Sorry to join the broken records, but I'm having trouble with this definition of generic ...

Does this mean, as was the case with the last RTTWC game, that there are no names and kits for the players? Or that there are no player-specific faces?

This isn't enough to disuade me from buying the game, but I think EA really must make it a priority to get the Champion's League license. At best they should be able to replicate those teams.

Having said that, I guess from this side we don't get the whole story on licensing negotiations ... knowing the greed that permeates football, I can only imagine what some of these clubs are demanding.

Seems like the Polish FA offered a 3-for-1 deal though. Too bad about the Russian and Ukrainian clubs, as well as Besiktas and Fener ...

Anyway, any clarification on the "Generic" most appreciated ...

Good point, but I wanted to play with FC St. Pauli and bring them back up! Cory Gibbs won't even be in this game, and he is a good player. Where is SSV Ulm these? I know that after they dropped from Bundesliga 1. they were relegated again and again and again. Poor team.

Hmm, they could have still left them out and probably still had the rights to those other teams they are dropping this year. Do you think they have to renew them every single year? And what is the beef between them and Holland?

Quick question. How many units do you think they sell for PC over a console version? I can't stand to play a soccer game while sitting in front of my PC, so I will never buy one. I tried in '98 but my couch is so much more comfortable. :mrpimp:

I reckon St. Pauli are still in BundesLiga 2. Are you cool enought to get them promoted? :mrpimp: Why no Corry Gibbs? Bull****. WTF?

They were relegated last season from Bundesliga 2. with one game left. The whole club almost ceased to exist because they ran out of money, but the local fans and banks got behind them and collected donations from beer sales and thing to keep them afloat. I don't know how the regional league does promotion, but I think they have been playing well. And since Cory Gibbs plays for Pauli, and Pauli won't be in the game, he will also not be making an appearance. And don't count on him being in the USA National Team. EA always screws that up and gives the US players the lowest damn numbers for any team. Like 4 for shooting, and giving Donovan and Beasley like 5 for running. What a joke.

Oh, sorry about that. I thought St. Pauli were still in BundesLiga 2. I'm not sure how the regional leagues work, either. They aren't as wide spokens as BundesLiga 1 & 2.

I think the regional leagues in Germany are equivalent to the Enlgish Nationwide Conference, aka under achievers.

EA didn't add Cory Gibbs last year, I doubt they'll do it this year.

Gibbs was in the game! He just wasn't with the National Team. He had a rating in the mid to high 80's for St. Pauli. I transfered him to Bayern Munich because he had a better rating than some of the Bayern defenders. Oh well. And why does the UK get the game this week and the US in 2 weeks? Maybe they are different with different teams?

unlockable teams

Has anyone heard of the EA sports Bio. Apperntly you can unlock teams with the EA sports Bio by playing other EA sports games. Im just curious if anyone has unlocked anything from FIFA 2004? I read it on the ea sports website..i dont know if its different for people outside the U.S.

That's right!! There must be hidden things in the game, like differeing stadiums they wouldn't tell us about before, and even teams or a longer career mode? I was playing NHL 2004 for a while and racked up alot of these points, but couldn't figure out how to use them. I since sold the game.

Anyone know anything??
