Fifa 2004 on Gamecube

I got fifa 2004 on gamecube and it has pretty good graphics, but sometimes the colors look dull and too glary. And sometimes the gameplay starts going choppy and slow . Is it normal? do ps2 and xbox ppl have these problems?

In short,its a shiet game, but the lag seems to die down a bit if you set it to 50hz.
