Lets hope EA made the right decision!

I would hate for them to change something, which was going to be harder to master and better as it was. :(

well lets see,.,, at first Hrjove said that players only run left-right, south-north.. then I pointed out that the run in the movie is diagonal.. and then he said that no one runs diagonal in real life... I have always been coached as a forward that when you make runs onto space.. you always go from the middle towards the sideline.. or from the sideline towards the middle.. making a diagonal move.. because you get the advantage that way... if you make a run straight up when the defender is next to you, the advantage is for the defender...

I would say that Valioso is pretty right here because I'm a forward
to and i have been coached that way, BUT in breaktroughs where
there are 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 or 2 v 1 etc... forwards who can run FAST
often (not sure how often though) make pretty straight runs
(they change direction depending where the ball comes), so I
wouldn't say 90 % more like 70-85 of the runs are diagonal,
somewhere like that. But as I mentioned Valioso makes a good
point!

That's VERY sad to hear! :( I wouldn't buy the game if you don't intend on playing the other 99% of football. ;)

thats what i had told myself with Madden 2004 and the "Playmaker" control. Then i started using it and it adds so much to the game and to the way u play it, i cant stop using it now.

ok apart from disagreing with the 90% statement, the purpose of my post was to explain what Hrvoje was saying - that players often if not most of the times, change the direction of their runs or deviate somewhat, so while i agree with most of what you're saying, (except the 70-85% which still seems too high, at least from my perspective) I think Hrvoje was making the good point (essentialy i would guess he wanted total control over the runner in fifa instead of giving him a general direction, thus making it more realistic) and this is what this discussion was about...

nevertheless, thanks for you input daevil1, much appreciated (Y)

i just downloaded it and it doesn't show anything new. it's french and shows all the features of the game such as OTB control, etc. Sort of like an advert really, pretty disappointing considering I paid a quid for it.
