Fifa 2004 is alright.

Well, just don't listen to the people who have problems with fifa 2004 and just buy the game.
But at least be honest about it if you come to the conclusion that you wasted $50 on an unfinished/rushed game.

It's got nothing to do with liking/disliking EA or PES

But whatever you think, one thing's already clear from the demo: porting console games to the pc has never been a good thing. The detail has really decreased compared to the last game because of this.
I guess PC games just aren't important anymore for EA. Shame....

I have played PES3, but it is nothing compared to Fifa 2004.

The only good thing about PES3 is the movement of the players, but that's it !
PES3 had bad sound and horrible graphics.

PES3 looks more like a game of 5 years ago...!

Do you watch or play soccer? Soccer is not the fastest sport but fifa 2004 is not normal slow, its slow slow. I was about to clear the ball, my player took 3-4 steps to clear it, and by the time the ball went in to the net How realistic is this.

Yeah, you will master them but in matter of fact if those passes ends up where I want direct them to. Sometimes the ball will roll to another player's feet or with a pinball style the ball will go out of bounce. soo many problems in this game. The CPU will attack the same way all the time, all the time I am telling you. CPU can't shoot from long range whats the matter with it? pinball passing hahahaha I can't continue, this game RoSUX

Here in Germany we are lucky to have the official PC version since
yesterday , so I can talk a little about it .
I also think the pace of the game is very realistic ,because you can alternate slow and fast pace with the sprint button,you can let your players walk so you have time to think what you're gonna do and with the IGM you can modify your tactic anytime you want. And I have to say that you observe a difference between the different teams. It's a new way of approaching the game and for the people who complain ,I just say wait till the PC version is out because I really think that this game deserves days of testing not a few hours .Anf if there are a few issues that must be fixed it will be done with patches.
Guys let me tell you something : This year you can make proper heading, you can pass the ball or miss it everywhere on the field,
you can adjust the overall speed if you think it's too slow.
Give the game a chance and you will be rewarded. Learn to play it,learn to use your wingers,learn to dribble ,learn to combine,learn to use the Off the Ball control which can be a terrible weapon, use the IGM,bring substitutes etc... etc...
Play with lot of different teams and leagues, don't always play with the f*cking team you support.
That's boring when you're always play with the same team over and over. Forget your bloody nationalism and your bloody supporter mentality !!!!!

And above all ,don't forget it's a game. It is done to give enjoyment not to be frustrated and it cannot be like the real thing
Learn to LOVE this game and accept it's not perfect

Ive only played the game for a few matches but i would say that it is the most realistic simulation of football that ive ever played, for true football fans this should be the most important aspect, i found it a bit easy to score from distance though but apart from that its great. i hear a lot of people complaining about the CPU AI but if you can defend they vary their attacks more to create gaps, youve just got to know how to defend. The speed was realistic for me and it was like watching the telly on replays. All the c**nts who want an arcade football game should F**k off and play their s**ty PES.

I played fifa2003 and in world class i can't be beaten by AI....the problem with this game isn't that its too easy...the problem is that it has crap AI and basic stuff like predictable and repetive AI is just not on. In a game that is trying to compete with PES3 you can't even do short corners anymore, all goals are too similar, replay angles are crap, alot of scripted moves, silly power from shooting, idiot goalkeepers...the list goes on.

I have seen the light...maybe when you guys get bored of the commentry and playing one of the lower division clubs you will turn to a REAL soccer game.

I am neither a PES fanboy or a Fifa fanboy, I am a FOOTBALL fanboy...and PES3 is definately the way to go. I can not touch Fifa anymore after playing PES. Those who still think Fifa is 'realistic simulation of football' is either in denial, plain stupied or think Football should be played like ICE HOCKEY.

My friend Mowhawk, a simulation is when you sit at your console or pc and push buttons to make your players move around a screen. if you want reall football, strap on your shingaurds, pull up your socks, and put on your boots. Then go outside and play. Fifa football will never be real football, it'll always be a simulation. And I think its a #$#@ good one too. Its the most realistic football game (i think) on the market. You may have your own opinion, but just remember that there is a difference between a sim, and real life.

Mohawk its no use trying to show these people the light ( PES 3 ) for people who live in USA and only have PC you should really get PES 3 demo its so much more better then Fifa.

I have had to play FIfa snice 98 and it was just so much torture thourout those years and finally PES 3 came out to PC which was the first PES game i ever played and it is the best ever soccer game i have played

Then you post a 2nd time because you say you've been playing the game a lot more now and you conclude that it sucks and go and tell people not to buy it. ( posted 30 October 10.20 PM )

So you have made your definitive opinion in 40 minutes.


2nd point You say you have played Fifa since 1998 and it was always a torture. So what 's the hell are you posting in this forum ? How your report can be considered as objective or reflecting the truth ???

I really don't undestand why so many of you are complaining of the game being to slow .... com'on !
Whe begged EA for years to slow the gameplay... and now that they finally did it ... you are asking to bring back the fast old gameplay style. This is not Unreal Tournament 2004, this is FIFA 2004 ! I love FIFA gameplay this year, yes maybe still not perfect and it still need some tweaks, but EA really did a great step in the right direction, the game owns.
The truth this year is that Konami made a step to arcadish ( if you played PES3 you know what i mean ) and EA a step to simulation.

no it isnt the game, they have made it so you dont just use 2 or 3 keys to play, but you need to use the run key all the time, but what i dont get is why do they move so slow when you dont use the run key?? anyway you need to always use the run key, this is one of the small changes EA has made, you have to get used to it.
