So I was thinking about getting FIFA 2003, even though I've heard bad things and would like to get Pro Evolution Soccer but being in the US where they don't sell it it's kinda imposible, and I was wondering which system I should get it for? Computer, Game Cube, or Playstation 2? Which one do you think would be the best?

I always choose the pc game over the console version because I'm not fan of console gaming anyway.
If your system can handle it, you should choose the pc version.
I heard that not all of the players in the console version are named. I'm not sure about that but I think someone posted that here a while back.

And the pc game is cheaper too...:)

Thanx for the replies so quick! Is FIFA 2003 as bad as people say? I have FIFA 2002 and am not too impressed. Good graphics, great to have a license but the game is just meah. Is there any way to get Pro Evolution Soccer 2 over here?

First question...Depends on what you are comparing FIFA2k3 to. If you are comparing it to FIFA2k2, then no, FIFA2k3 is a great improvement.

Second question...short answer no, long answer ask in the ISS/PES forum.

Yeah, you can purchase it from an online U.K. reatiler but it wont work on U.S. consoles. The european version is not NTSC standard.

I've played the demo for FIFA 2003, and I guess it looks like the best thing us Americans can get our hands on eh?

Fifa 2003 for X-box - Where is Romario??

I recently bought an X-box and the first game I got was Fifa 2003. Previously I played Fifa 2002 on my PC. Now I miss the Creation Center and the ability to save your replays (which you cannot do on the X-Box - maybe on the PS2 also, but not sure).

Overall I enjoy the X-box experience greatly, I can also play DVDs on it when I get the DVD pack (which costs another $50 and you can't play dvd without - and I didnt know). Yet I am looking forward to playing FiFa 2003 on my PC and check for myself the difference.
:o
I was looking for Romario and could not find him? Was he left out? Is he a reward player? Romario is currently playing for Fluminense and is one of the top scorer of the brazilian championship with 15 goals (the top scorers (there are 2 now) sit on top with 18). It would be a pity if EA decided to leave him out (like Felipe Scolari did in not recruiting him to the WC in Korea/Japan).
I wonder also - and I have to go home and check, if Carlos Valderrama made the list too. The 3-WC Colombian captain is currently playing for Colorado Rapids in the MLS...
Having nothing more to add here are my forecast:
Fifa2002 player of the Year: Ronaldo :D
Brasileirão 2002 Champions: Corinthians :D

PS2

I enjoy the game on PS2 quite a lot. There are still problems, but it is a fun game.

I usually play with RM/France just because Zidane is my favorite player. If you run the offense through your CAM, you will score a lot of goals, even on WC, no matter the team you use. I have also noticed that the style of play of the different teams depends on the league. Italian league is different than EPL, La Liga etc. La Liga is fun and so is EPL. I don't enjot the italian league as much, although most of the top players are there.

Defense it tough, but I have figured out how to use the sliding tackle without getting carded. You have to run side to side with the computer player, and then when the ball is tapped slightly in front you slide and take out the ball. You almost never will get carded.

Well, I could not find Romario on this game... maybe he is a reward player. I Also could not find Valderrama (Currently playing for Colorado Rapids-MLS) - you will not find him on the Colombian team either because Colombia did not make it to the Fifa 2003 - No surprise since they have not played at all - the country seemed to have given up soccer for ... for good and are down to 30th in the Fifa Ranking...
Well, too bad, Valderrama on goal would be quite a sight on the Fifa 2003.!
