FIFA 2001 & Windows XP Professional

Just a note that should make many of you happy:

FIFA 2001 seems to run much happier under Windows XP than Windows 2000. I've been a victim of the "crash after every 2nd game bug" under Windows 2000 (about the only problem really though).

However it seems that so far I've been able to play to my heart's content under Windows XP. The only problem I've seen thus far is that the game freezes once in a while when trying to save a game.

Assuming that FIFA 2002 is designed from the outset with Windows 2000/XP support, I would think we are in good shape come November.

Something you didn't know:
Microsoft are already planning another Operating System even though Windows XP has not been released yet.

Bummer, that's why so many people hate Micro$oft.

That's not so strange or out of the ordinary, is it?

Any software company has the next version of their software at least in the planning stages before the current version is released. I'm not sure that's a valid reason to hate Microsoft. (There are much better ones!)

And yes, I did know that. But you shouldn't need insider information to arrive at that conclusion. ;)

Well that bug occured with me when i got the demo. It was wierd. I bought the game and it worked fine. I read somewhere that it occurs if you got the rip or something.

I don't think that's necessarily true.

I've seen reports of people claiming to have the full version that experienced the problem as well (such as myself, I suppose). The fact that I can switch operating systems and it goes away tells me it's not so much to do with whether you have the "warez'd" version or not. Then again, since when has software behavior been completely logical? :) *shrug*

Oh well. We'll see how it goes with FIFA 2002, eh?
