Names in the players section is all good, tried re-saving and no change. Tried language realign and still nothing. Then tried re-importing and still doing the same thing. I'm going to try a clean database and see what happens from there.

Ok, so going with a default DB worked and I've gotten the Bundesliga imported without any name issues!

Also, whenever I import a patch, I get an error when importing the league. Is this normal? I just uncheck the league and create it myself, but I feel like this isn't supposed to happen.

I had the same issue with my own database a few weeks ago... I assumed that was because I added too many players to my database. But to this day I am still not 100% sure. Had to start a new database from scratch.

I also get errors importing leagues, but since it is not hard creating them yourself I am not that bothered by it.

Ok, so I'm not the only one! haha!

I completely reset my database and have managed to import players without issue and also the leagues. I was using ModdingWay before, so I'm wondering if that had something to do with the issues.

As I have FIFA 17 as well, I'm essentially using 16 solely for women's gameplay, so the rest of the database isn't an issue for me right now.

Curiously I started having these issues after importing ModdingWay teams through Creation Master. But that might be just a coincidence.

Yes, this might happen. Could it be that you have a different language than english? So you have to create the league first with the league number 811. Than you have to put all teams in it manually (ignore the Warning the team is still in that league).

After that you might check all team names (because of different language database).

Than import the tournament.

That order should work.

Thanks! I'm using English, so dont think that would be an issue. But yeah, I usually do exactly what you just said, so its not really an issue I worry about. Thanks for your help! :)

Names not appearing:
This is usually because the database has too many players already. Sometimes it can be solved in CM16 by choosing Tools-->Minimize player names table.

League not importing properly:
Seen this a dozen times. Most likely a bug in CM16.
Workaround: Import League ONLY at first. Then import the rest afterwards.

The playernames table has a limit of 29000 entries, IDs over 29000 are ignored as they are used for names in squad update files. Using "Minimize player names table" can help as names in the table not assigned to players are removed, but only if enough names are removed to bring the total below 29000.

You could try copying the playernames table to dcplayernames (the table used in squad updates), no idea if this would actually work but just an idea to try.

There is a common bug in CM16 when importing leagues. I usually uncheck the league and import the teams and players, then create the league manually.

If you are having trouble with importing a league; try importing ONLY the league itself first. Then import everything else.

The patch team is small with limited time so we can not accept requests. However, we are willing to collaborate on teams and leagues.

Four French teams have already been created, but the full league is not currently in the scope of the patch. If you would like to help make the remaining eight teams to have the full league, send me a PM.
