Yes and no. I don't want to close the door for everybody else. If users want to try the latest (unstable) release, than this is fine with me. I still upload the Unstable Releases, but now it has the label 'Unstable', so that (new) users will understand a lot of things need to be done, before a final is getting released.
The problem with a closed project, is that it can also be a disappointment for others when the final is released. When providing users an unstable one, they can find out where the project is heading to.
