FIFA 12 3D Editor - Faces

If Jorge could give us something on the conversion it would be great :) at this point the problem with the models is the point where the objects are joined (the converted 3d model from fifa 11 and the 3d fifa 12 body model - I forgot the exact name given to that point) If we could at least get a step up from what Rinaldo managed to pull it would be a fantastic start imo

hy all i have a quastion when i adding a new faces and then inter to load league i canr see thos faces and they still generic but when i make a new league i found them with the faces
how can i solve this

You answered you own question, my friend.

When you edit player stuff, like acessories, boots, or other stuff that is database related (ex: changing from generic face to specific) you only see the changes on new games (new career, new tournament) If you had anything saved before the changes, the old save will never have the changes.

You can play your old game saves the way they were saved or start new with the changes you made.

Anyone has any idea what kind of conversion (re-scaling or anything) could be needed to use old fifa 11 Rx3 models in Fifa 12? I'm asking this cause if those ideas were shared it would be easier and faster to come up with methods for getting tools for facemakers. Any dev has any idea? I apologize to the mods if this isn't the right place for posting this.

guys i want to work on a project to convert older fifa models into fifa12 format like .o from fifa10,.rx3 models from fifa11 to fifa12..i heard its possible with maya but too complicated...atleast we can try until we get rx3 converter from rinaldo.the idea came into my mind after observing faces of arteta,klasnic,pantelic,carrick,scholes etc.they have the exact faces in fifa12 like they use to have in fifa09,10 and 11.how come ea people are able to do that why cant we..need a team with the idea of maya software.comments and suggestion will be appreciated.

I think that the process (converting old faces like those) itself is not that complicated, if not it would be a real problem for EA to convert all those old format faces every time they change the faces format for a new game; maybe they have some sort of special script (maybe for maya or another program) that automatically perform this task.

good question... It depends on whether their deal with FIFPRO works the same way as their deal with the clubs and NT's licenses, but I would guess that in the case of the players they probably don't work on a 1 year base (I believe once they got a yes from a player regarding his image rights they don't need to be asking permission every time they make the game but who knows how those contract things really? It's most likely the EA folks simply go on lazy lane and settle for using as much generic stuff as they can as it takes less work)

thats too bad,, so it will never happened someday theres many of player with new face, coz it takes any contracts thats mean more bucks for EA spent on it..

I honestly don't think that adding more specific faces would be too expensive for the EA folks. It seems that it's more a matter of having extra work. I guess that the teams' kits and logos licensing issue is actually more expensive than the players one. Anyway, they make more than enough on sales to cover these issues imo. They just don't care. That's why Fifa 12 has - 2 leagues plus some that are entirely generic plus NT's generic as well plus only one team debuting in the series (Racing Club de Avellaneda - ARG)

you need to extract them... If you look inside one of the data big files you'll find something related to that. You'll even stumble across egm (expression geometry modifiers? not sure right now but ok) for the vpro's face.

I'm not sure right now but I think it's on one of the last data big files
