Hi fidel gonna testing the new b3 tomorrow...but from what i see from the video: i like the way sidebacks are covering the spaces, but the CBs (puyol especially) could be tweaked? Puyol are running off the box closer to adebayor and when puyol goes to the box he makes a failed zone marking. in fact, adebayor didnt create the space but puyol forgot him alone in the box. Pique didnt cover abidal netiher cover the box. And xavi and Busques are only watching the play since the CBs try to marking Di maria and Adebayor. Xavi, first, and busques, after, runs in the slow sliding way and only try to return to the box with urgency when adebayor is scoring....sorry for my english, and this isnt a complaint about your wok just make a feedback, you work make me play fifa 11 for hours on pc thanks

I Played 2 matches and there's nothing to complain till now :D And the first impression is the GK's technique is far better than other versions ... Very very nice FIDEL, thanks a lot ! As I usually say: You really saved the game!

Well, 2 things about 4.6 beta 3:

- I'm getting some weird screen tearing when doing long balls along the field, like fps drop but not exactly that.

- CPU is easier now? I only played 2 matches being Roma: Roma 2 - AC Milan 0 and Roma 6 - 0 Sampdoria. Against AC Milan in beta 2 was a real challenge but now was rather easy, they failed much more with passes than before or perhaps I suddenly improved my gameplay heh.

Fidel, i'm honoured and slightly surprised that you've taken my analysis so to heart. I'm happy that i've found this mod and this thread becaue it's a real pleasure to contribute here.

I just downloaded the mod and played a handful of games. It feels fanastic so far, but obviously any flaws tend to reveal themselves over time.

- My initial impression is that you initially have longer on the ball but after a few touches the opposition are on you and can break really quickly. At first they were all over me because every time I got the ball I was thinking "huh, this is easy... *tackled* -what?!" Really fun stuff (Y)

- Skilled attackers tend to have a little extra time on the ball, which feels realistic. But like I said you can no longer take it for granted.

- I'm not sure what you've done exactly but the computer's attacks seem better balanced and more varied.

- I also noticed that the quality of opposition seemed to matter more. I was able to cut through lesser defences but struggled more against the good ones. Their star players and mine had a much greater individual impact on the game.

- Defending is both easier and more manic and i've had to scramble back and send my goalkeeper running out to cope.

- You seem to have mostly sorted out that very irritating full back problem. I suspect it will never be entirely erased but it's much less noticiable.

- What's really terrific is no longer feels like defenders have a magic advantage when defending in their box. For both sides there was quite a bit of panicky last-ditch scrambling around in the box which felt very realistic.

> Man marking with central defenders seems to be off. I'm not sure why but they just don't seem to get as tight as they previously did. I think a few other posters have hinted at the same thing. I was able to make a few passes off the shoulder of the last defender that felt a slightly too easy (although interestingly it seemed harder to put those chances away) Maybe this is a side-effect of some of the tweaks - or maybe it is just my imagination? I'll obviously have to play it a bit more before i'm certain.

What does everyone else think?


- My impression is that goalkeepers seem both better in terms of making saves and yet also more mistake prone. I saw some great last-ditch saves but also a pair few mistakes from one particular goalkeeper that had me laughing.

In both this and the previous version I switched between an 82 and a 74 goalkeeper and frankly the 82's performance was significantly better but also felt more realistic. But the 74 goalkeeper isn't a bad keeper at all and 74 is about the level of goalkeepers on most teams. If their performance was more like the 82 it would have actually felt more realistic on the whole.

But again, what does everyone else think?


- Attacking heading of the ball is much, much, better. I was able to score a header I wouldn't have been able to before and even more importantly I was able to build attacks with flicks ons and nods forward. Really great job on this Fidel! :) I'm not entirely sure if you've tweaked long passes too or it's just the improvement in headers - but for the first time in any Fifa game I felt like playing a long ball game might actually be a good way to play sometimes.

- Long shots feel much better. Now I actually feel confident taking them. They don't feel like a risky waste. They aren't blocked so often and even though I failed to score from them (I hit the crossbar twice) I saw a few great saves and interesting ball flights that make me think it's just a matter of time.

Refereeing felt almost perfect for me in terms of giving fouls and dishing out yellow cards.

I think in real life referees tend to give the benefit of the doubt to players more often. I almost never do last ditch tackles myself but the computer does it all the time. In two of my matches they went down to 10 men (though Sweden still beat me through a late penalty! :innocent_smile_1:). One of those sending off decisions was correct, but the other was very harsh.

is this mod compatible with regularcat's DB ? does it affect the game in any way. because i have it and in manager mod after each match my players fatigue level goes in red and they are all automatically put in the bench in my team management after every match. even them recovering frm fatigue takes 2 matches! all my players keep on getting on the bench after every match they play !

Never happened to me, normal fatigue with this HG patch.

it was created that way to keep you from sprinting all match long, which you apparently do.

i shoot for realism, not you just hold sprint all match & the next match you are completely rested, thats not very real.

complaining about that shows me you like arcade style then this is the thread is for you.

Sorry but I didn't agree with this at all. I'm a fan of this mod but I mostly play a slow, cautious game. I don't sprint all that much in the way I play unless i'm trying to draw a foul.

Also I think describing it as "arcade style" is a little unfair. Most people who play FIFA play matches that last between 10-14 minutes, which means that their games are generally only between 1/9 and 1/6 the length of a real match.

In that time there has to be scope to do anything between drawing 0-0 and having a 4-3 thriller.

The gameplay that occurs in that short amount of time essentially represents the highlights of the action, the 'good bits' that you might see on Match of the Day.

So the fact that the gameplay is crammed full of action or that players are able to run in more frequent intervals than they might be able to in real life isn't inconsistant with what it represents.

Finally, why do you feel the need to be so rude and dismissive? You could have just awnsered burhan's question without talking down the way he plays and then by inference insulting the people who use this mod.

I think the main problem is the defense ... in particular the 2 central players! :-/ I'm not an expert so I'm not able to give you Fidel a great review as many others can do ... but I got this sensation :P

all i wanted to know was how the starting 11 players automatically end up on benches in manager mod after every match. plus it shudnt take more then one match for them to recover from fatigue. there is always usually matches once a week and i think players can come back to almost ther full stamina..after all its a GAME. and this never happened before when i played manager mod. thanks anyway

Have you checked to see if the 'Assistant Manager' option is unticked in the Team Management screen? I think all that option does is shuffle around tired players. Sometimes you have to tick and untick it to disable it.
