FIFA 08 + EURO 2008 Conversion to Fifa 12 [WIP]

Inspired by Skoczek's WC2010 mod for Fifa 11, I would like to bring back a season that perfectly fits with my all-time favourite fifa, and it's season 2007/08 into FIFA 12 (in fact I think it's a very underrated game in terms of modding, receiving no big mods at all as you would see in FIFA 11 or 14). I also think it's such a great idea because of the Euro 2012 DLC, that with a little of work could be rewinded to 2008.

Mandatory work:
- Convert FIFA 08 DB to FIFA 12
- Convert all old faces
- Bring back old kits
Optional work:
- Euro 2008 conversion
- Old soundtrack
- Old stadiums (I don't know 100% if it's possible)
- Playable career mode
- Old scoreboards (I don't think it's possible)
- Few other things


So, for the first step, I had some problems with the conversion and I would be glad if someone could bring me some help. I used jrrp95's db for FIFA 11 (link for full mod) and when I import "players" table into Fifa 12 db, it crashes just after startup screen, so at the moment I can't make any progress with the db

Hey, I have very bad news. I'm still struggling with players table, that it's still making my game crash. I carefully worked with the table in this way with Excel:
1- In Fifa 12 table delete all players that aren't in Fifa 08 table
2- Add to Fifa 12 table all the players that weren't there but in Fifa 08 table without overwriting existing F12 players (players that already exist keep their 2011/12 stats)
3- Add to new players data that weren't in their original table (runningcode, shootingcode and more)
4- Import converted players table into F12 db with DBMaster
5- Start game. Crashed when arena loaded. F*ck.

So, I'm gonna need a little help. I'm gonna leave here 5 files. Fifa 12 db, Fifa 08* db (* it's not actually Fifa 08 db, but the conversion to Fifa 11 made bt jrrp95), players table from F12, players table from F08 and converted players table from 08 to 12, so if anyone could take a look I would appreciate it :)

Btw, @jrrp95 how did you manage to convert the dbs from fifa 07-08-09 to fifa 11? Did you use any program or you just worked the tables with Excel?

I put the converted files in the FIFA 12 ball folder and then regenerated them, but when I enter the game and select the ball it becomes invisible.

Little update: Managed to get all (or almost all) teams and formations right without crashing*, now the last things to fix are player names, league positions from last season and few other things.

Edit: I have very good news! Player names are now fixed and the game now doesn't crash when creating new profile. I tested career mode a little and it appears to be fine, so I could say main db is 100% playable. Now it's time for old kits, faces, balls and shoes.

it includes all boots from fifa 07, ucl 07, 08, euro 2008 and most of fifa 09. If there are missing boot models just fill with the boots with no number. The balls are all from fifa 08

i agree with you.

in fact, every fifa from the 11-15 era is better than 14 on pc (next gen fifa 14 is a whole different story).

I mean, I don’t think FIFA 14 it’s a bad game, but I also don’t understand why FIFA 12 and 13 didn’t get as modding support from the community as FIFA 14 did for some reason

When you see that even with tools like this nowadays people can not do anything except stealing or selling other work, you understand clearly why nobody of them can edit fifa 12 game :D
