FIFA worked terribly! People had to walk past CF to get to FIFA so they were picking up CF instead. FIFA was crashing all the time (every five to ten minutes) and had bugs in it unfortunately. They say the release date has gone back to October 31st but I can't see it being released then at all - they said it was still only 60% done - and if they have to submit it in three weeks (to get it out on 31/10) it won't happen. Or if it does, prepare for bugs.

WHAT THE ****???????

another BULLSH!T

Poor FIFA. The EA people were nearly crying on Thursday. In the end they had to put FIFA2003 on their pods - much to the annoyance of the gamers. And they've changed the off-the-ball control - it's really confusing now. I tried it and gave up - true, I couldn't give it much of a chance as I didn't have that much time though

How exactly do you know that it's 'bull****'?

It's a fact that FIFA 2004 was barely present at the PS experience, for whatever reason.

You can't just deny stuff like that out of blind daith to FIFA - I personally don't care whether FIFA or Club Football turns out to be the best, as long as one of them is great.

just thinkin that, how do you know it's BS, or maybe you're great at detecting when others speak BS beacuse you're quite a frequent BS'er yourself?

3." FIFA (maybe this weekend will be kinder to them)"

This does not look good , and I've seen some posts in here where peolple say the guy is lying or bumming up his CF. I don't see why, would he lie about FIFA crashing so much they had to change the FIFA Stand from 2004 to 2003. And we are suppose to be 7 or 8 weeks away from the release date and they have to submit it in 3 to 4 weeks, not good at all!

Looks like what I have said all along they ( EA ) for some reason can't get the basic game engine right. Only the other day we heard that they are dropping D/Weather to work on the gameplay. Does that not confirm what this guy who was at the Electronic Show is saying the game crashed so much they had to take it off. EA are great at Baketball AMFootball and get the gameplay 110% but for some reason they have never got a grip of how football is played or how to transfer it into a game engine. By the looks of it 2004 is in that sense is going to be like all the others before it. Yes I have seen the latest video the TV presentation the lighting effect and god it looks fantasic world beaters and that is what EA are No1 at , but sadly not gameplay they can never seem to get it right. For all the reasons I have stated about graphics presentation atmosphere I want them to get it right I have prayed over the years that the next one will be it, but alas gameplay it seems will always let them down. As the old british saying goes "All fur coat and no knickers" Looks great but peel back the cover and there is nothing underneath.

Go on EA do something stupid get together with Konami and tohether make the greatest football game theworld has ever seen. it would make it the biggest selling game ever and your share of the profits would be greater than what you would make in keeping with the Fifa series the way it is!

the game crashed because the build they had was not stable.. it usually happens when the game arent finished.. either way.. we'll just have to wait for the demo.. and that if they need 6 weeks.. they delay the game 2 weeks.. instead of releasing very bad bugs

Every year we all hope that FIFA will be great but then it`s always brings out nothin` but graphical eyecandies and AI crappyness . . .

I`ll tell you guys what, let`s pray that this year will be the crappiest FIFA ever. If FIFA then turns out great, then at last we got what we want, if it`s another crap again, then it proves that there`s a God . . .

Check this out, it's from the Club Football codies forum. They said it was there, but was terrible so was taken down and FIFA 2003 was put on instead...

TYPICAL EA!

Nick.
OT but does anyone know how I can register for that site, it says do it through the main Codemasters site and then says the Username is wrong when I try and login:( RE: FIFA, doesn't look good if it's only 60 months done with what 8/9 months gone, so they need another 4 to complete the other 40%? That takes us into next year, can't see it being delayed that long = loads of bugs and possibly worse than 2003, hopefully not though, but till we hear to the contrary from them that's what I'm assuming anyway:mrpimp:

First, lets consider the source...

You're relying on the views of a CODEMASTERS STAFFER here. The "Community Liaison Officer" of Codemasters is the one who posted the comments. Now let me simplify this.

EA: Fifa 2004

Codemasters: Club Football

They are competing companies each vying for our hard-earned cash. Now, do you honestly think that a staffer of Codemasters is going to say anything positive about a competing company's game?

NO.

Everyone is so quick to pass judgement on FIFA 2004...please, wait until you have played the damn thing before bitching about it.
