Terrible images :( I didn't know him, but I'm shocked. Like Foe, he dead playing football. It's very shocking, R.I.P Niklos Feher. Good luck to the friends and the family.

The strange thing about this is that he fell to the ground and the players ran to him instantaneously. Did he have any heart conditions in the past? Played for Hungary if I remember rightly.

RIP Feher :(

not any problem in the past.. and yes he was Hungarian, and used to played by the Hungarian National team..

the players run because the way he felt, and with no one near.. it was immediately clear that something serious was happening

Apparently, the autopsy was inconclusive and that the tests they were running will take 2 months to know the results of.

His coffin is just arriving at Estádio da Luz. All the players are already there.

Armando Sá, Andersson, Tiago, Mantorras... their expressions speak by all the club.

My deepest condolences to family, friends, colleagues, everyone that feels the same agony, pain and powerlessness that I'm feel as I pronounce these words.

May his soul rest in peace for all eternity...

such a damn shame, I still can't beleive this happened...one minute he's smiling, the next he's dying on the field. I think it will take me a couple days still for this to really sink in, I just can't accept it yet..

this is the first time i've been able to reach the internet since the tragedy!

Sunday, 25 January, 2004 will be remembered as a sad day in portuguese (and international) football.

It's the first time that a football player in the portuguese league dies in a live broadcast! The surrounding environment and the reactions were simply terrifying! I get goosebumps everytime I see the footage or listen to the radio broadcast of it.

I've allways been a Boavista fan, wich means I have a big respect for every piece in the portuguese football. It hurted me pretty much to see that happening. It's sad, but let's hope we can all remember him for his good moments and not for this one.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT, is that this will make everyone re-think their priorities, and hopefuly look at football players in a different way. See them as humans and not as machines!

Sorry about the big post, but I'm sure you understand I had to get it all out (although that's impossible)

Last minute: Ricardo Sousa just scored the winning goal for Boavista, and he did not celebrate! He ran to the bench, picked up Feher's Benfica jersey, and held the 29 high, to a big aplause from the stadium!

I made a sig. I did not sign it so you can feel free to use it.

RIP
