Hope next transfer season he's behind Carlos*son... if you guys can improve him like you did Carlos*son you will have a gem in your hands. Carlos*son was no star in Mexico. He was below adequate. Jimenez is a stud and can only get better.

Yeah Adrián better step it up, or Tello and dare I say even Quaresma will steal his spot. But yeah, today was better, much better. Defensively we're still a bit all over the place some times, but I guess it's always the hardest part to really nail, so let's see.

Nothing new as far as I know. After selling Indi and De Vrij, Feyenoord don't really need the money and don't want to lose their captain. Maybe after the CL elimination today they re-think their position though...the player wants to leave, that's for sure.

I still believe we'll get Clasie, Marcano (all but official) and Jiménez to wrap up the squad.

I would have preferred you guys getting Jimenez over Atletico but oh well. Can't say I'm upset over him finally departing to the old continent and to a great team.

Hard to compete with La Liga and Atléti's money. Even if we could make an effort to match their bid to America, no way we would offer the player the same kind of wages... Also 11M would be a big stretch, for a striker who'll be making his debut in Europe and is still unproven on the big stage. And most importantly, wouldn't get much playing time because of Carlos*son. Within a year though, pretty sure he'd become our main man... I'd say 8M tops would be fair enough for him.

Yeah I totally agree. I feel like his potential is lessened going into a team like Atletico as opposed to Porto. I think Porto was the perfect match because the league is not super difficult, so he can ease himself into it while still getting a chance to play CL or EL as opposed to all the pressure from La Liga, Champions, Copa del Rey etc with Atletico. We'll see how it plays out, though.
