so what do you guys think about João Paulo joining us?
it's not confirmed yet but Jorge Jesus is already speaking like if it is a done deal:
"Esta foi uma época fantástica e, mais uma vez, sai para uma equipa grande um jogador que treinei, neste caso o João Paulo."
I believe it would be great for us to have him on the team, the man's really talented and would suit our defensive style perfectly.
Perfect back up for Pepe, we needed a CB with the same carachteristics

I believe Zé Castro already signed for Atlético Madrid, might be wrong though...
I've read in some sites that it was a done deal, in some others that it's not confirmed yet, claiming Porto are also interested....and I can't find any info about it in Atlético's site.

I'd rather keep Adriano, and pick up Miccoli like you've once suggested
To the other CB/RB spot, San Lorenzo's Pablo Barrientos seems to be linked with a move to Porto, don't know how good he really is though.
And I like Fábio Felício a lot too, he's got a sweet left foot.
So considering that Diego is leaving, he could fill in that extra spot in midfield.

Xifio I don't think Benni would leave to Ajax these days to be honest, he always said he'd like to play in the Premiership if he was to leave Porto....

I do to, but he's too moody and it's true that he can act like a b'tch sometimes....still find him to be a hell of a striker when he's on form though.

Ze Castro is a major bluff, he's good technically for a CB but isn't really good defending. João Tomás passed through him like he was butter last weekend, and João Tomás can't even dribble.

Zé Castro started the season off very well, but his form did decrease throughout the rest of it. It made me question myself if he is that reliable too.
I guess the future will tell how good he really is, seeing that he definitely is leaving Académica for a club with bigger ambitions.

I'd sign Zé Castro IF we could get him cheap or by offloading anyone from Paulo and Massive's lists instead of cash. Otherwise it's too much of a risk.

I believe Liedson is not even a possibility, I guess he's got some contractual years left with Sporting right?

with Miccoli it's a different matter, it majorly depends on the player. Juvents will most surely sell him.
Benfica has the advantage of being able to chose between keeping him or not but if Porto offers both Juventus and the player a better deal, he might decide to join us instead.....
