I'm not necessarily against selling Schweinsteiger (or Ribery, Robben, even Dante). I just don't want to let players like Kroos and Muller go when they are versatile and clearly world class players for SEVERAL more years. Muller is great at 3 positions, and good at 2 more (striker, and MC in a 4-3-3). Ribery and Robben are old and Muller is a clear replacement, but Pep seems to think that players like Muller who grew up in the city and are ideal replacements for aging stars are expendable.

Yeah, I do agree ... but a home-grown/leader player like Schweinsteiger is very rare ... I think he has more authority in the locker room than Lahm ... I don't know maybe Pep doesn't like that ... In general, I think Pep doesn't like German players' mentality (hard working ,versatile and direct) compared to his pet project at Barca.

It's no coincidence that Germany is much better with Schweinsteiger and Khedira (awfully similar and worse to Martinez) than it is with Lahm in midfield. Now Bayern is going to get even shittier at FB so we can play Alaba instead of Kroos/Gotze/Muller/Thiago whoever.
