Is there a list of those defeats?

Nobody really cares because he has chosen the 2 best clubs in the world.

He should have selected Hertha Berlin or Ossassuna. That would be the only way for neutrals to respect him. Now, he just comes off as lucky.

Look man, no disrespect to Bayern, but Guardiola has had minimal coaching to do in the last 9 months.

I don't care if the manager is a literal gorilla telling the players to play a 2-3-5 as long as the team looks like this.

Well the team already looked like that in June 2013.

I don't think that there was much that could go wrong for Guardiola. I really don't know why he joined Bayern - I think he was merely looking for an easy ride.

There is no easier job right now than the manager at Bayern Munich. People keep talking about how well Guardiola has challenged himself. I find that somewhat hard to believe - he transitioned from Ronaldinho to Messi and then from #1 to enjoying sitting at home to #1.

Where is the challenge in that? Another treble is the bare minimum for this club - with or without Pep Guardiola.

Why would you want to "challenge" yourself with an inferior club? If you concede that Bayern are currently the best club in the world, then what coach with the opportunity to coach at Bayern Munich would go anywhere else? The point is to win, not to uplift an inferior squad. Pep took his best option. Why would you criticize him for that? He did the same thing David Moyes did, or Jose Mourinho has done, or really every manager in every sport has done since the beginning of time.

Yeah, but without an inferior club, there is no challenge.

He has inherited the finished product. The uplifting of another squad would represent a challenge. The media paints the picture of him having this great ability to do so....I have yet to see the evidence of this.

I would like to see how he did at Everton or Roma.

Well, you will probably never get to see it. But Pep is so detail oriented, studious, and flexible that he would likely succeed anywhere.

Hahhaaha Newbie is a prodigious hater. Shifty, Pep wont prove himself worthy until he doesnt make Cluj champion of europe twice.

Talking about Cluj, those guys are in deep financial shit right now and might be relegated because of it.
I actually think Pep done a great job at Bayern. It's very hard to motivate the players after they won essentially everything. Now they won the championship even earlier and they're in pole position for the Champions League. It's relatively easy to get on top and very hard to stay there.

My opinion of Pep has actually improved since he came to Bayern because he has shown more flexibility and made some good tactical decisions that no one else would have done. That said, I do agree that until Pep 'beats the odds' I would not consider him among the truly best.

Starting XI
I wonder how you're gonna play when Lewandowski joins you next summer. I doubt that Müller or Götze will be played in the "false 9" role anymore.

The main thing is that if Guardiola can keep the players motivated, after having two such successful seasons. Although it's far from over yet, CL in mind.
