Honigstein suggested we'll go on a shopping spree this summer. I don't see it. We've already signed Pizarro, Dante, and Shaqiri. As far as I know, none of the better players are leaving. The only position that I want to upgrade is central midfield to run a true double pivot with Schweinsteiger to give us more unpredictability in attack. Yaya is the dream, and if not him I want Lars Bender. Robben can go **** himself, give Muller the right wing, Shaqiri backing up the wings, Kroos as AMC.

Looks like Pizarro might not happen. I think he's the emergency option. The club is heavily linked with Dzeko and Lewandowski. Dzeko's wages are an issue (not to mention what it could do to the confidence of Mario Gomez), and Dortmund want one more year from the Pole.

In other news, we're being linked with all kinds of world class midfielders, but perhaps I should be worried that they aren't going to cost 35m? I was told in another thread that you can't get one for less than that. Anyway, Javi Martinez, Nuri Sahin (guess he's going to stick around in Madrid for another year), Lars Bender, and Yaya Toure have all been mentioned in the media.
