So Gomez, Tymoschuk, Rafinha (please?), and Enke/Neuer/Adler. And then here's my brilliant idea:

Both van der Vaart and Metzelder seem out of favor at Real Madrid and Hleb never plays for Barcelona, so let's try to get all 3.

Then next season we could see

Rafinha-Lucio/Demichelis/Metzelder (2 of 3)-Lahm
Tymoschuk
Hleb-van der Vaart-Schweinsteiger
Toni/Klose/Gomez (2 of 3)

Then Hamit, Ze, Borowski, etc as very solid reserves. That's a lot of turnover in the squad, but it brings in mostly German players, and only guys who have excelled in the Bundesliga in the past. Plus none of those guys are towards the end of their careers, but at the same time there's clearly room in that squad to accomodate Kroos when he comes back in 2010; we could slide Hleb or Bastian out, or even play a 4-3-3 since Toni and Klose are getting ancient and I'm sure Van Gaal would like to play that formation anyway.

After familiarizing myself with some of the rumors, I think our RB solution is Dario Srna. He played at Shakhtar with Tymoschuk for many years, and it good friends with Olic; he is also of the highest quality.

It also looks like Sneijder is pretty hardcore out of favor at Real too, so I'd take him as playmaker ahead of vdV because Wes doesn't have the history of injuries.

I'm not gonna lie. That would be an awesome team.

Hleb and vdV were stars in the Bundesliga, but Joao Moutinho is definitely a great idea.

I think the plan is probably to keep MvB as the captain for one more year, and then hopefully Kroos can take over after the World Cup, but I really wish we could get another center mid. Especially since we could play with 2 of them if van Gaal goes with a 4-3-3.

No my friend, to play 4-3-3 we'd need 3 numbers 3, we got Tymo and MvB, the 3rd? Ottl no, Borowski no, Zè no, so I prefere Ribery will stay with us, I know he probably live München but we cannot depend anyhing on only one player, if Frenck wishes to go he'll be going of course, but almost 60 millions; at least I prefere a different kind of 4-4-2 or a 4-3-1-2 but I don't know the rosters for the next season, for now I'd play this way:

I'm a little worried that Neuer gave up 2 goals to UAE. I don't mind if Neuer comes as long as he's good, but then I don't live in Germany, so the symbolism doesn't resonate with me.
