Toni is getting well over 30, so we should sell him to Milan for 10s of millions. They love old players.

Not sure how I feel about van Gaal being the coach. I greatly admire him, but most of that admiration goes back to his Ajax days. There was certainly a point where he was probably my favorite coach in the world behind Hitzfeld, but when I first saw the news that we were going to get van Gaal I was a little disappointed. But you know what, now that it's official, I'm happy with the new trainer. We went to make a big smash, and LvG should be good for the immediate future, as well as the long term future. I would love if he could get our Academy straightened out.

EDIT: Just saw some speculation about us signing Antonio Valencia, the Ecuadorian from Wigan. I think he's a good player and would love to have him, particularly out there on the wing with Diego in the middle. That would be fantastic.

Antonio Valencia? To be honest I have never heard of him, reminds me of a player we had in the early nineties though, Adolpho Valencia.

he played in the 2006 World Cup ... so even if you don't watch the Prem (completely understand, btw), I'm sure you'd have seen him for Ecuador, not least when they played Germany in the Group Stage ... but Ecuador did lose badly in that match, so I guess Valencia couldn't really have stood out as much as he did against Poland and Costa Rica ...

Isn't the one playing in WIgan's right side?
I've saw him in the Man United match. He has good skill but I'm not so sure he has the deserved class to play in a big team.

Why is everybody still talking about Diego? Isn't his Juve transfer a done deal? I don't know anything about this Valencia guy either. Anyone who could give us a little more info on him? Any clips worth watching?

As far as Van Gal goes, i am happy about only one thing: he is probably one of the best coaches in the world when it comes to develop young talent. I hope he really gets the Krooses and the Mullers on track to become first team material.

Maybe he came around at the wrong time, but "best in Europe" is a joke. Kahn? Buffon?

The Valencia rumor as far as I know is really weak. We were just mentioned along with Man U and Liverpool in some article that said Wigan admit that they can't keep him. I like the guy, so I figured I'd throw out his name here.

Yes, the transfer of Diego to Juventus is official; so van Gaal can be good for us, there' no many free trainers in this period so we get one of the best ones; today we've only one result: 3 points with Hoffenheim, very hard to me but in football everything is possible, so......let's go Bayern!

Yeah, and he's definitely one of the best in the world. I hope he leaves Zenit when the German season ends, because we don't need him playing all through the summer and then forced to go a full German season. I guess he'd have winter break, but I still want him to have a few weeks in the summer to relax.
