uh, eastern Europe Beckenbauer? haha, he wishes (H) ... have you seen videos of Der Kaiser's mobility across the park sweeping at the back, and up the field to bag a few goals?

****, easter, right. just kidding about beckenbauer :D but Chygrynskiy can become a good player for us, Koeman, Migueli and Márquez start very bad in their first season...

Great performance from the Blaugrana boys. Madrid looked like they were intent on destroying Lionel with some of the tackling, Ramos tried to kick him in the face as well. Ronaldo was pouting - Messi was class and took his goal well.

Surely Barca's title to lose, and I'm backing them to retain the UCL, they look unbeatable everytime they take to a football pitch.

I've always said Valdes is overrated, but I have to rectify and say he's really quite a keeper. 2nd or 3rd best player on the pitch yesterday, although he didn't have to make any otherwordly saves, but there was some not-so-good finishing from Madrid and a good keeper needs to keep those shots out too, and he did. Considering that Spain also try to play posession football, I dunno why Valdes isn't at least back-up.

Thanks Mickey!

btw, I'm pretty sure we won't need 18 (out of 21 points) to be crowded as Champions.

Now, Madrid is gonna lose points match-by-match. Just 3-4 more weeks and we can celebrate this title again. ;)

No probs, you know Barca's my second team - but when a team plays the game the right way, and conducts itself properly off the pitch, you have to doff your cap anyway.

What worries me is how far behind those standards United have slipped.

ManU were said to be a one-man team under Ronaldo, who left this summer and many wrote you off. You won the Carling, were within a hair of the CL semis and are technically still in the league. You're definitely a worse team than you were, but you're still very good.

since he broke into the starting XI, Víctor Valdés has always shown terrific reflexes, and has made some amazing saves ... but in almost every season, he would have one or two major howlers, and seemed rather error-prone -- something that fans are quite weary of with him, which why it was not a cert that he was going to get a new contract when he did, and why there was always a cry for a new quality keeper to be brought in ...

combining great saves and big gaffes is a recipe for the unpredictable ... but he hasn't had a major gaffe in a while, while he has continued to be huge for the team, not least in the big matches when the stakes are high ... so, despite the wealth of talent at Spain's disposal in this department, it is almost inexcusable that he hasn't at least been called up, based on his performances and his form over the last 2 years ...

A little gesture from the best player on the planet to CR9 before the match, worth a 1000 words:

Priceless(Y)

BTW..
CR9 did pick up the ball first, but out of his won net after a wonderful goal from Messi:innocent_smile_1:

On a more serious note, what a season defining win. We have the confidence and the position to end the season in a great way, but there is alot of work to do. The next 3 games are very crucial for la liga and we need to be 100% focused.

Also inter is behind 1 point in the title race so they can't afford to rest any players before our game either:innocent_smile_1:

I don't understand? what's the significance of a wink? Does it mean something different in Spain?

When I googled the meaning for latin countires I found the description

romantic or sexual invitation

which has confused me even more lol

Messi its out this world, Cristiano played the game very focused and tense but leo like if he were in the schoolyard. In the first minute he tried to do a "caño" to Albiol. This dude enjoys a lot playing football.

^^^^ Hahaha yea Valdano was a prick for making those comments public.

BTW

What about this guy, he's not human either.

It's a bird... I'ts a plane... I'ts

El Motorsito de Terrassa:innocent_smile_1:

He's been just as important as Messi for us this year, how many passes he makes and how far he moves, he's a machine. Makes our offensive steam roller roll right over opponents. He's a maestro, best CM in the world by a million light years:innocent_smile_1: (well maybe hehe).

Our team looks like they're all robots, never loosing energy and always moving to pressure or generate spaces. I remember they used to call the '74 dutch team "La Naranja Mecanica". I believe we should be called "La Blaugrana Mecanica"(Y) Our players don't know what tired means.

fvck!!!! That is a big loss for us. I hope he's ok, must be devastated.

Força don Andres(Y)

BTW

Keita has done a great job in his place so we are covered. But I miss the duo of don Andres and Xavi in the middle, we look so different when he doesn't play:mad:

This happened last year too, but he played injured the ucl final. I wonder if its a recurring problem from then...

Yeah as El capità said Milito deserved that victory. It needed a great courage and self-belief to come back after that nasty injury, and he came back so strong. He played well against Real.

Btw, I love the way Puyol plays, 100% passion, and energy. You can barely see those staff today, off course Wayne is another example.
