Favourite kind of goal?

That Top 50 goals compilation video topic made me wonder: what's your favourite kind of goal?

Depends, I think every goal should be judged on its merits.

My favourite goal from last season for Chelsea was one of collective play against Southampton, at St. Mary's. It was our 3rd goal in our 3-1 win, Gudjohnsen started the play and after some nice 1-2s and silky passing he made it to the box and slid it past Niemi.

My favourite non-Chelsea goal was Kakas in the Confederations Cup, against Argentina. A few switches and it was some awesome team work.

However, my favourite all time goal is by Carlos Alberto against Italy in the 1970 world cup, that goal had everything, teamwork, brilliance, a top finish.

I love the great team goal, so much is needed for this type of goal, work on the training pitch. you also need a combinatin of teamwork and cohesion+individual skill which gives more satisfaction when the goal is scored.

The best team goal ive seen is Arsenal's 2 against spurs to win the title at WHL.

Although i loved the old Ronaldo goals

collective play....specially on counter-attacks when 2 to 3 ppl. are involved in fast passes and then some1 finishes it off cooollly by 'embarassing' the keeper.

I love shots from outside the box, although I appreciate a team goal as well.

Shots from outside the box gives me time to stand up and jump, especially if it's a last minute goal!

I've always liked goals where you take it round everyone including the goalkeeper e.g Maradonna, George Best

Of course there's the Dennis Bergkamp type of goal, ludicrous individual skill the type of which pretty much only he can do e.g hammator, and against Argentina in 98.

I usually like Crashing Volleys from outside the area. Like Zidane's in the CL Final or Mendita's on that video
