Favoring clubs?

How does this happen? How do players choose what club they favor? Do re-gens favor clubs? If you start witha lower division club and make it big will you have any players from other teams favoring you club?

1. players start off with favoured clubs, but i believe they can change their views throughout the game

2. i think it has something to do with loyalty and how happy they are at the club (morale), how succesful the club is.

3. Most probably regens do aswell.

4. i doubt it, not until they come to you that is, then maybe.

Has something to do with club reputation aswell.

The only affect it has on the game, I believe, is to make players more/less keen to be transfered to certain clubs.

Its also hard to temp the player away from the club they are at if they favour it. In one CM Martin Palermo favoured Boca and you couldn't get him away from the club. He loved it their to much

Yeah that's true, a great shame cos Palermo is class. I have never noticed players who dislike clubs showing a reluctance to go to them though.

Palermo is a great player, but with big clubs it was easy to poach him away from Boca. well, you had to offer him a pretty good wage.

no i meant on CM00/01 or 01/02, when you used to try and pach him away he usually accepted.

He was at Villarreal in 01/02 aswell. I mastered Villarreal in 01/02, they were my fav team to manage. I won four trebles in a row with them once.

LOL yeah. I remember I was playing a network game with Bob Fleming, James Danrob and Roni the Mad Fin (remember Roni?). They were Barcelona, Valencia and Real Madrid respectively and were amazed when I chose Villarreal. I won the league 20 points ahead of the nearest compitition

nah he'd have still smacked you, Sir_Didier_Drogba was simply amazing with Villareal, he knew the team inside-out.

Favoritism pays off....

I got Pires and Rosicky to sign with Real for cheap since both have Real as their favorite club.

Well actually, I signed Pires on a free after he got mad with Arsenal for not accepting my offer...he then just refused to sign an extension for the rest of the year and his deal ran out.



I was really enjoying my game until it got corrupted.


I was controlling Real Madrid and using Marseille and Napoli as feeders.

Ironically, Marseille got soo good...that in 2010 they nearly ruined Real's 6 straight European titles...taking them to extra time in the European final.

I was able to turn around Napoli too....by the time the game got corrupted in 2015...they were a consistent top 4 team in Serie A drawing 65000 a game....it only took me a decade or so to get them turned around plus some financing aid from Real Madrid.

In 12 years you should win every year with Napoli in the serie A and so with Real Madrid and Marseille. All 3 should reach the semis (not if they meat each other before) of the CL each year and two of them in the final, so stop talking great things about a game you are underachieving
