Fantasy rosters

Is this something that's doable without being too tedious or difficult? I know it'll be a time consuming process given that there's so many teams, but I was just wanting to know how tough it would be to scrap all the real players and then start inserting created/game generated ones.

Why do I want this? Easy - I can more or less create my own world and decide which teams are powerhouses and which teams are doormats, and I don't have to worry about real-world roster moves when dealing with fantasy players.

Your idea sounds very strange but I think it would be possible to do. However you should have a good knowledge of FIFA editing and also databases to try it.

My suggestion would be to use DB Master to delete all records from all tables that involve the teams and players. This should remove all teams and players from the database (but not any graphics). Then use Creation Master to create your fantasy teams and players. I would also suggest to create players with previously unused ids to avoid them gaining any old players specific faces and commentry. Also i think you will need to create young players using ids in a certain range for use in career mode (to replace retiring players).

Definitly back up your game or be prepared to reinstall if you try this. The above method is a suggestion, I can not guarantee it will work. Good Luck!

I want real teams, but not real players - in my little fantasy world, you might have an undefeated Manchester United led by a 6'10" goalie going against an undefeated Chelsea led by a rookie forward.

I'll have to fiddle around with CM in that case then. And yes, I know all about backing up files lol

I did something like this for Madden on the PC twice (with a 3rd party mod tool).

In that case you could just remove the data from the tables that involve the players. Alternatively, you could just edit the actual players in CM. Each team needs a minimum of 16 players so you would have to create alot of fantasy players (a quick estimate suggests over 8000 based on the number of teams).

Yeah, I've already got a couple of teams (like 4) to at least exhibition level (ie, enough players to field with a couple of subs in case of injuries).

I will say this - Facebook and random name generators FTW. That's probably the toughest part, since everything else can pretty much be accelerated with the random stats/features/characteristics button.

That was one advantage that Madden has - I could create a temporary team and the game would randomly generate a number of players for me and all I would need to do is then transfer them over to real teams with a 3rd party plugin.

Still fun to do and worth it, even if it's a bit of a pain to do sometimes
