Neither Konami or EA pay you guys. Or do they? Always look at each title objectively. Drop your preconcieved notions, political leanings, and past experiences. 90% of the time , I favor PES but I recently picked up 2007 Fifa for 360. Many flaws but also many good things. Very enjoyable. What impressed me the most was the engine it was built on. If EA really wanted to they can outshine PES easily, easily...next year, if Konami doesn't step it up. The engine is outstanding. They already have the great graphics (for the most part), Great Audio, liscense, etc. Konami, if in fact they are happy to leave their gameplay alone, fine, because it's very good but they can really step up in other areas (graphics, audio, presentation, liscensing). PES for the 360 is an absolute letdown. It's a straight up port. They should have at least stepped up the graphics or presentation to take advantage of the 360. This is my objective view.

I agree, i was eagerly awaiting PES6, i thought man this is going to be a very good game, couldnt wait to see what Konami was able to do with the power of the 360...............now that ive stopped dreaming and woke up i went for the title that stepped up to the plate.

The trouble with holding somthing so sacred is that you are closed to the idea of change, change is good, besides its very easy to tell by peoples comments here, those who are open minded and smart gamers, and babies who dribble over their favourite dummy refusing any alternative................keep sucking fanbabies.

Well said mate. There are lots of posters obsessed with 'PES is close to reality, Fifa sux' garbage. Cant see why they need Fifa to be the poorer relation. I will always chose whichever one has the balance of football experience over frustration. I have both games and I'm playing Fifa 07, I can accept people who say they prefer PES6, but. I just shut off when they start going on about PES closer to realism because its bollox.

PES has never been close to realism, but for a while it had been "further up the realism stakes" than any other football games at the time. However, Konami have made too many farty tweaks in recent years that have made the gameplay suffer, very much like what EA used to do. Thankfully EA have seen sense and made many improvements and FIFA is starting to look a serious contender just at the time when PES is starting to go stale. PES6 on the 360 is a shoddy afterthought on Konami's part - take a PS2 game, fiddle with the graphics and leave out key features like edit mode, and then hope it sells - it really does smack of desperation of jumping on the next-gen bandwagon.

I remember a lot of people dropped FIFA for PES after FIFA 2003, because it really was a poor game gameplay-wise (buggy as hell, CPU trying to take over, etc), but I noticed the trend is going the other way lately with a lot of people dropping PES6 because they didn't like it.

Just wait until the latter part of this year for a proper comparison, when we'll have FIFA 08 against a PES7 actually produced for the next-gen (and not a PS2 port). Then we'll see which is the better.

well....i used to be a fifa fanboy untill i laid my hands on PES4 demo...it had me hooked...i converted to PES simply on the fact that it had the better gameplay, which i believe is the most importnat thing in a game

After playin PES, FIFA feels too 'mechanical' and doesnt feel right....i try all the demos of FIFA since 2005 and in my case, i didnt enjoy the gameplay as much as i did in pes so m still waitin for EA to come up with gameplay that is really close or maybe even better than PES....till then its pes for me

and i play on pc so there is nothing in this world that compares to a superpatched pes :D...its footy game nirvana !!
