FA Cup SF: Newcastle United v's Machester United [P+R]

TOON ARMY

Starting XI

Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
Sunday, 17 April
Semi-final
Kick-off: 1400 BST
Referee: Mike Riley (West Yorkshire)

Well here we are, just over 24 hours until the big match. Both sets of fans eagerly awaiting this sell out match. Both sides looking to salvage something from a bitterly disappointing season.

Newcastle have major doubts over Titus Bramble (groin), Jermaine Jenas (calf), Celestine Babayaro (hamstring) and Aaron Hughes (groin).

Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer are suspended, so Laurent Robert may be included despite criticising boss Graeme Souness during the week.

Manchester United cup hero Ryan Giggs has been ruled out with hamstring injury, Louis Saha is out (calf) but Darren Fletcher (knee) travels to Cardiff.

My head says Manchester United on the back of a bad week, we're going to get thrashed. My heart says this is the magic of the FA cup, anything can happen.

Howay the Lads!

Manchester United 3-0 Newcastle United

Rooney x2 and Keane

Man United may have been beaten by Norwich last week, but after being heavily criticised during the week you'd expect them to bounce back this weekend. ;) Newcastle played in Portugal on Thursday night and were dealt a big psychological blow by Sporting. Put those two factors together and I can see a Man United win is more likely.

Hence why they'll bounce back strongly this weekend. That's the mentality of our team. :)

Fans don't want to see the coach go because of a few bad results/decisions.... but maybe the 'fans' do.

We were scoring and playing very well when RVN was out. He may be a great goalscorer, but bringing him back into the side was a big mistake. I don't think he's been key to our good peformances this season.

this is an important match to us. it is not only decide whether fa cup is the only trophy we can lift this season. it also help to raise our team morale and indirectly decide the final position we can be. i hope we can outclass newcastle, scoring as many as we can

i go for man utd. 2-0, rooney and ronaldo
