No, he means 99 ;) . 98 was a fluke. :p

BTW i am 99% sure that this will be
Arsenal vs Man Utd semifinal. just watch, that's what the FA wanted in previous semifinal draws and that's what we will see again tomorrow.

yeh its prob gonna happen. but its suprising that they do that, im sure they wud get SOOO MANY more viewers with a arsenal manure final rather than the semi. regardless, its gonna be either
newcastle v arsenal or newcastle v manure or arsenal v manure final thats for sure.

I'd love to get Newcastle in the semi-final just so we can ruin stinks-of-piss Shearers dreams of winning a trophy with Newcastle. The media, Sky, Andy Gray and Martin Tyler in particular are already creaming themselves over the prospect of Shearer finishing his career off by winning a medal. I'm surprised they didn't even put the interactive Player Cam on the tosser for 90 minutes.

I think watching too much Cartoon Channel has messed up your head.

Ahh, rich :D

But as you said yourself, last time they won it was 54/55, and that year, the premiership winner was.....thats right. History repeats itself, as they say (H)

Despite the rabid hatred of shearer by everyone but the Newcastle faithful, id like to see the mans loyalty towards that club paid off by some silverware at the end of it all. I wouldnt mind seeing, however, another ManU-Arse battle. Unless Newcastle draws and beats one of the two, its gonna happen :hump:

I'd laugh my ass off if the Cole thing made them lose it.

I bet Arsenal draw United

I was just having a laugh about it: Nothing is won until its all over, and sports are an almost daily reminder of this. But as for the whole cole thing, that was clearly slanderous crap made up by what can only be classed as the anti-Chelsea press of london. Honestly, the whole saga pissed me off immensly. Wenger's reaction was so desperate: as i recall, he said something like "Well, i havent asked him if he met with them, but i dearly hope Chelsea wouldnt do that"

:|

I understand that a manager does whatever he can to help the team, but that was almost infantile. And if anyone thinks that Mourinho and Kenyon would be braindead enough, and Cole would be treacherous enough to hold this meeting, in broad daylight, in a city in which all three are celebrities, well I have to serious question how in touch that person is with reality. It didnt surprise me at all when, as the whole episode started to fall apart in the credibility department (that report emereged that the story came from the account of one person, a bus boy or waiter or something, and then cole suddenly "remembered" that he had been with a meeting with an FA official or something across town) that it just died out. Rather than correct their mistake, the press simply forgot about it.

Not saying that youre misguided to believe it happened Bobby, its just very difficult to believe that anything will happen at this point

Err....Chelsea has already admitted to meeting him. But they claimed that Cole called his agent to initiate the meeting.

Chelsea are reported to have claimed that Cole, who remained on the bench in Arsenal's defeat of Bolton on Saturday, did meet up with them - but that it was at the player's request.

Wenger Slams Chelsea

This is an abosolute joke. Does Wenger have a leg to stand on with all these allegations? As I recall, wasnt the allegation that Arsenal tapped up Anelka while at PSG??? And then sold him to Madrid for a net profit of over 20 million pounds? Thats to say nothing with the now legal battle with Marseille over Pedretti's dodgy transfer. And for christ's sake, what the hell is this?

Wenger, speaking after a 1-0 FA Cup victory over Bolton, is incensed at what he sees as a deliberate attempt to affect players' focus ahead of big games.
"This case is very sad and very unfortunate because you expect your neighbours in the same city with that power not to behave like that," said Wenger

Him even alluding to the mind games of the whole affair being somehow dishonorable, is beyond laughable. The master of London press manipulation and mind games himself, implying theyre underhanded. He can believe or not believe (or see or not see  ) anything he wants. This statement, coming out now (if it is accurate, becuase thats never a guarantee with British media) just looks like hes "clutching at straws"

And as for BigP's article: alot of things are reported, including the statement you posted. Unless the club puts out a statement, which, to my knowledge, they absolutely refused to do, they havent admited to Carlos sh*t

Edit: There, Rob's gone and taken the argument right out of my mouth

REPORTED!

Ronaldinho was reportedly ready to go through a medical with Manchester United in 2003 and sign for them.

I REPEAT

REPORTED!

Wenger is in irony mode. Flamini? Fabregas? Just to name a few dodgy transfers.
