what a bunch of crap this final is, i've seen more action from sunday pub teams.

still there's always hope for the second half.

i feel sorry for the muppets who paid over a few thousand quid to get a ticket.

boring so far, man utd only tactic so far is the long ball from scholes.
I agree. While Chelsea's only tactic is shoot from distance..

Heinze's crossing is so terrible. Everytime he gets the ball, I don't expect anything..

Team Captain
Chelski looking the better side so far, ManUre not doing much in terms of attack other than the usual Scholes long ball to an offside Rooney or CRonaldo trying to do everything himself on the wing and getting dispossessed. Typical boring English football.

*waits for Mikey to come in and follow that up*

BBC live updates

1546: HALF-TIME
Thank goodness. Time for a cuppa. Wayne Rooney's moaning about something to the officials. He's not the only one moaning. That was poor.

1541: Still awake? Hang on in there. The second half can only get better.

1533: John Arlott once fell asleep while commentating on a county cricket match.

1530: A shot on goal. Do not fall out of your seat, but it is worth repeating, we have had a first shot on target. Frank Lampard swivels inside the box on the right but Edwin van der Sar is down well to smother his low shot.

"The two teams have successfully thrown a wet blanket over the celebrations surrounding new Wembley - and over each other. Too much respect, not enough intent. Never mind the watching world, behind closed doors is the best place for this game so far."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Wembley

1527: Is this game any better on the automated text commentary? No. Check out all those defending throw-ins by Paulo Ferreira.

1523: Anyone got any paint to go and watch dry?

1520: This is utter rubbish. These two are the best in the land. Never mind a good advert for cricket, it's a terrible advert for English football with an estimated 500 million watching around the world.

"This is a good advert for the cricket season."
BBC Sport's Mark Lawrenson

1518: The whole pitch is in shade now and this game is a shadow of what we were expecting. Ponderous.

lmao

sh*t, what the **** is this today? it seems the matching red thongs the champions got for themselves are limiting their playing abilities.

Well so far the second half is much better than the first at least.. Both sides finally creating chances

Scholesy has been playing very well so far.

We need to start thinking about a Scholesy replacement.
I reckon when Scholes retires United will struggle finding someone to play his role. Carrick better learn quick.

Solid tackle on Robben by Brown (although never high enough in my liking). What a tw*t the guy is. Can't take a proper challenge... he then hobbles off the pitch, only to walk back on and THEN lie down in a pathetic heap. Sh*thead, hope he needs his leg amputated. He certainly deserves it.

Looks to be heading into extra time. I simply can't wait to hear Lineker's sh*t sarcastic "jokes". "Well that was a riveting 90 minutes"...

been a poor game. Only 10 minutes really worth watching, shame. Hopefully the team who put on another striker will be rewarded (as long as it's United :p )

Don't want this to go the pens.
