Yes...but playing those 3 together I don't think is strong enough defensively...I think you rotate them, and have someone more defensive behind them...that is what Rijkaard does....and he knows the importance of that midfield hard player, the wall back there...as that is what he did during his playing career....

I was agreeing with you mate . I was refering to which midfielder would lose its place on that zka lineup.

BTW, you guys mentioned Thuram. Is there any considered other names for the fullback spots. Thuram is great, however he is 30-something just like most of our sidebacks.

But yes I agree, as obviously Xavi doesn't sit....
But the season is long, and the rotation system works well...with all the competitions this season, plus the shortened rest for many players....we will need the depth at all position...I just hope we avoid any 3 or more month injuries which seem to have plagued us the past few seasons...

It seems we'll have elections pretty soon.

There was some controversy whether elections had to be this year or next .

Today a judge has said that it has to be before the end of 2006.

I don’t expect many surprises. I guess Laporta and his board will win.

Yesterday Txiki Beguiristain and Ferran Soriano were in Turin.

According to Cadena Ser(radio) and Onda Cero(radio), there's an agreement, 19m € for Zambrotta and Thuram.

That would be amazing.

Now we have to agree with the players.

Thuram won't play every game, but with him I guess it would be something like:

Gio-Thuram-Puyol- Zambrotta

with Marquez playing in front of them

Yea I just read about this too... If they get another sideback than both the left and right will be covered, now that will really suck ( Is Zambro really going to play on the right for you guys? )

Right side is not so well covered with Belletti, who is a bit irregular, and Oleguer who is more a DC.

In fact, Barça was looking for someone for the right side. Rumours say that if Belletti hadn't scored the winning goal at the CL final, he would have been transfered.

Both flanks are weak, I don't know where I would play Zambrotta. I'd like any line-up with Zambrotta. I won't get my hope very high though. It's not done yet.

Well like DT said, both your sidbacks are weak and I think Zambrotta is better on the left although he is still good on the right. Hopefully this all breaks down and you guys dont get him.

Javier Uzué, the GK coach, said yesterday on the radio that he wouldn't fit in Barça defensive system. (:/)

I don't know if that's true, but that means that Barça is not after him.
