To the guys from Barcelona:

What's a good online news source for stuff about the club? I read Marca.com, but people say that it is anti-barca? Is this true? I know that they are amarillistas and they print a lot of bullsh1t, so I wonder if there is another page I could read (english or castellano) that would give good information.

Barcelona star Eto'o reveals English offers

Barcelona star Samuel Eto'o has revealed he's been courted by English clubs.
"Everyone is speaking about my transfer to England, but I am content here in Barcelona," said Eto'o.

"Numerous offers from England have arrived, but I am not going to take them seriously.

"Perhaps in a year or two, I will think about it, but we will see."

Xavi renewed, Rijkaard is very close...

Now if only Ronaldinho could sign a 10-year contract, we'd be set. :rockman:

We play Real Betis on Aug 14th and 21st.

Barcelona lock in agreement for Seville's Baptista

Barcelona have struck an agreement with Seville striker Julio Baptista.

Sources close to the player have told Media that Baptista has agreed to join Barcelona at the end of next season when he qualifies for a Spanish passport.

The Brazil international has given Barca first option on his services, with a deal not locked in as the Spanish champs still fancy Arsenal star Thierry Henry. But in the event Arsenal continue to hold out for £50 million for the Frenchman, Barca will take Baptista as an alternative.

Powerhouse Baptista has a buyout clause of £24 million, but is now closer to quitting Seville following the exit of coach Joaquin Caparros last week.

Whats the source for that?

Please dont say goal.com or tribalfootball.com

Would live to see him at Barca. He's a great player. Power, speed, goals galore. He would thrive at Barca with the better players and support around him.

Because he is not EU.
So then you would have 4 and I don't think they would get rid of either Eto'o or Dinho....so that means Rafa........:( that's what it says in elmundodeportivo.com
But anyway, it's only a rumour.

and won't baptista have a spanish passport by then when the deal does supposedly go through?

It would of course be ideal for him to get a Spanish passport, but is it really that easy? Doesn't it take a couple of years at least. I guess there are ways of fasttracking. Anyway, if he (Baptista) comes next year that would be cool.

(I really don't want Rafa to leave :rockman: )
