Can' believe we have so much bad luck. One injury for 6 months is very bad luck, 3 is... :kader: :f***:

Mascherano sounds very good.Plus it would be a blow to Madrid since they are after him.

The injuries have become apsurd.If things go on like this, it will ruin our season and that would be a big shame considering our chances.

It is very strange....but we still have lost players who are replaceable with other similar players....we haven't lost one of our irreplaceable players

Well, we still have Gerard and Marquez. Sylvinho will be fit for the next game so we could even use Gio. But that's not the problem, the problem is that we have 17 players for the whole season, a ban or injury can harm us seriously.

What are you talking about? He was given captaincy in this game and was the only player bar Niemi and that right back who played on a good standard.

Not at all. He is a playmaker and in fact share most charestics of a certain Riquelme, the same weaknesses; slow, verey poor stamina, lazy and ridicelously inconsistant. He has played verey well this season though and scored two beautiful goals.

Eventhough talanted he isnt Barca class but on the other hand, neither is Deco, but in the end you certainly dont need him either way.

Deco isn't Barca class...I think he's proved he is.
He's the only Barca player who scored 2 in the CL.And there's more to come.He is a bit overrated, but to say he isn't good enough for Barca...

Barca Look At Desailly Option

Barcelona are reportedly studying the option of signing Marcel Desailly due to the current injury crisis at the club.
With Edmilson, Thiago Motta and Gabri all struck down by injuries, the Catalans lack strength in depth.

Desailly is a free agent, and it is reported that there has already been some contact with the former Chelsea star.

Another idea is Brazilian midfielder Vagner who is also without a club after leaving Celta Vigo

MÉXICO (Récord) -- Las lesiones de Edmílson, Motta y Gabri abrieron un hueco en el mediocampo del Barcelona y el mexicano Gerardo Torrado está entre los candidatos de la directiva para llenarlo.

Olaf Bonales, representante del mediocampista, reveló a RÉCORD que ofreció desde julio a Gerardo al club catalán, donde el mexicano tiene buen cartel: "Gerardo es bien visto entre la directiva y el cuerpo técnico que encabeza Rijkaard, lo ven con agrado.

"Sería fabuloso que Torrado emigrara al Barcelona, ya hablé con la directiva, pero ahora sólo nos queda esperar su llamada y ver qué pasa", agregó Bonales.

Por su lado, Torrado comentó que se enteró ayer de la posibilidad: "No sé bien sobre el tema, lo escuché apenas, pero hay que tomarlo con calma, no quiero perder la paciencia, será cosa de los directivos, de que hablen y lleguen a un posible arreglo.

"Yo sólo debo seguir entrenando y esperar que al final se den bien las cosas, que gane esta batalla y me pueda ir al Barcelona", dijo Torrado, quien tiene contrato con el Sevilla hasta el 30 de junio de 2005.

Bonales desconoce si la directiva del Barcelona ya habló con la del Sevilla, pero recordó que el actual equipo de Gerardo ha dicho que está abierta a una negociación.

Un punto a favor de Torrado es que el Sevilla, hasta antes del inicio de la Liga, liberaba al mexicano por 615 mil dólares.

De su estado futbolístico, el mexicano expresó que no tiene problemas y que su técnico es el que no lo toma en cuenta: "Estoy perfectamente, no tengo ninguna lesión ni baja de juego. Puedo jugar sin problemas en un nivel alto y competitivo".

De casa:

El club tiene otra opción, con jugadores que no le costarían nada, pero sin experiencia. Tres futbolistas del Barcelona B podrían ocupar la plaza que se liberó en el mediocampo tras las lesiones de Motta, Gabri y Edmílson, si lo considera Rijkkard.

Los señalados son Dani Fragoso, Arnau Caldenteny y Tiago. Mañana, en un amistoso, probarán a alguno de los tres en la posición mencionada y decidirán si los toman en cuenta en el primer equipo.

Finally, when we have potential title winners, this happens.
I hope Eto'o and Ludo are recovered as soon as possible.

Someone at the Club is stupid enough to offer him a deal and he has to think it through.He should be retired, not negotiating Barcelona.What is he, 34?Please God, make him refuse.

As far as the midfield is concerned, I'd like to have Arsenal's Edu.
He is great.And underrated.

I think it's a good result considering how 15 Barca B players were called up.Almost everyone is on NT duty and the game was in France.It's all good. (Y)

If things are really bad injury wise for Barca then taking a crack at Marcel wouldn't be ALL that bad...

Though if your not desperate then don't do it....

Lol WE (pompey) wanted Desailly, wouldnt of thought he'd be able to play at the highest standard? Especially not for Barca lol.
