Extending Time in the 90th minute!

For anyone that doesn't know this... If you have the ball in or near the opposing teams penalty area, and the game is in the 90th minute, the game will continue until the defense clears the ball.

I experimented several times before I posted this. I took my attacker and continued to dribble around the opposing teams penalty area in the 90th minute, and the game kept going. It was not until a good 60 seconds later that the ref blew the final whistle after I took a shot, which the goalie collected and booted the ball past mid-field. End of game!

Cheers:)

Yes, I know that:)

But I don't think it has ever been mentioned here. If so, my bad. If not, then the newbies can enjoy!

Cheers:)

I thought everyone knew that...

I'm pretty sure that in real life theres a rule that says the ref shouldn't blow the whistle in the middle of an attack, and if there isn't there should be... Imagine the ref blowing the whistle while the ball is in the air, and then it goes into the goal, but the game is already over...

Okay, obviously this was either not a good idea to post this thread, or no one understands what I was trying to say.

I KNOW that the ref shouldn't blow the whistle while a team is on attack. First of all, I don't want to argue over something pointless.

For everyone that read this, This Thread Is For Anyone That DOESN'T Already Know This RULE!!! So please don' reply and tell me that EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS THIS.

IT IS FOR NEWBIES!!!

Cheers;)

I don't quite agree with that.

Once, I was playing a Man United vs. Leeds, the scoreboard was marking 1-1 at the 90 Minutes.

I had a freekick for Beckham, which went over the bar. But when the keeper took the goal-kick, he PASSED DIRECTLY TO BECKHAM that was just in frontal position to the goal, outside the area. HE SCORED! BUT THE MOTHER****ING REFEREE ENDED THE GAME JUST BEFORE THE BALL PASSED THE GOAL LINE! THE GAME ENDED 1-1! I COULD'VE WON 2-1! BASTARD! Lol :)

Cheers

LOL!

Sometimes things go our way, but sometimes they don't. All-in-all, we have no control over when the ref blows the final whistle. That is why you have to make every single opportunity count, and not depend on an 89th minute winner:) Which of course, there is no better feeling than putting one past the keeper in the 89th minute:D

Cheers:)
