i did not mean to come off as being arrogant, i guess i am happy because we are playing really good football right now. what a perfect time for rooney to break loose.

i do agree with you bimus that rooney clearly could and should have passed the ball to vassel, he was simply thinking of being a hero instead of a team player.

and not to take credit from france, of course they are a very good side with the likes of zizou, henry, and viera, but they are not playing as good as they should be playing with all that skill in their lineup.

And i mean no disrespect to portugal fans either. it is going to be a very tough game against them. i actually would not be to upset to see portugal go through since this might be figo's last chance for international silverware.

yes england can play very well, I guess it's the best england
team I've ever seen... But you should not believe that Rooney is so strong, I still believe that Becks, Gerrard Scholes and Lampard are the best english players.

take this piece of advice : it's never good to be compared to Ronaldo (as to be compared to Jordan in BBall) : I heard some call him "Roonaldo".... He's strong, but I believe he's more a kind of new Shearer (and that's a f*cking compliment from me) than a world class top striker (able to win the game alone)

Fortunately for England, he'll got xcellent passes from the midfielders. So he'll be excellent. but don't put so much pressure :

when I said "the english this or that" I didn't mean any general feature (did I ?) but I wanted to talk about england team this year : I just felt their strategic approach was very disapointing vs france. Imo, if england team plaied that game like they always do, it could have been even a better game than czech vs netherlands, but instead, it looked more like czech vs latvia : all defense and counter-attacks/ free kicks. well, I must admit I had a liitle provocation about the gerrard / frei spit affair, but I found it ridiculous ! yes, I enjoy football, that's all, and respect between players / teams is crucial. I don't think gerrard lie has anything to do with football, it's just crap to try to bother france, it was useless (frei hasn't got the right to play) and it just show the frsutration of the man who did that awful assist to henry (and imo still maybe the best english player).

I think this euro is excellent, despite england was disapointing in their opening game because of their crappy tactical approach.
