EURO 2012 hosts to be decided

The decision on the hosts of UEFA EURO 2012™ is top of the agenda at the UEFA Executive Committee's latest meeting in Cardiff, Wales this week.

Three candidates
Under the chairmanship of UEFA President Michel Platini, the committee will make its choice from three candidates – Croatia/Hungary, Italy and Poland/Ukraine – on Wednesday.

Wednesday announcement
After dealing with the other business on the agenda at the St David's Hotel in the Welsh capital on Tuesday, the Executive Committee will hear presentations from all three candidates later in the day. Wednesday will see activities switch to Cardiff City Hall, with the committee debating the decision to be announced in the City Hall's Assembly Room, immediately after the end of the meeting.

Various criteria
The decision will be taken after the assessment of a UEFA evaluation report involving criteria such as transport, infrastructures, legal conditions, accommodation and security, as well as upon the recommendations put forward by the UEFA national teams committee.

Secret ballot
The Executive Committee vote will be by secret ballot, and the Italian and Ukrainian representatives will not be eligible to vote. A quorum of eight members will be required for validity. There will be one vote per member, and abstentions or spoilt ballots will not be counted. An absolute majority - over half the votes - is needed.

Possibility of second ballot
If there is no absolute majority in the first ballot, the bidder with the least votes will be excluded. A second ballot would then take place with the remaining two candidates. In the case of an ex-aequo result after the first ballot, an intermediate ballot will be held to exclude one candidate. Finally, the number of votes cast per bidder will be made public.

Talk about chances of each candidates but keep your fingers crossed guys for Poland & Ukraine candidature.(H)

I hope we get it. The president of our FA thinks we have the best chance.

Anyway, if it's not in Croatia and Hungary, I want it to be in Poland and Ukraine.

FORZA ITALIA! Juve's new stadium depends on this :(

Yeah, its quite nice, and it deserves the fame. It and San Siro, and the Olimpico (in Rome) will be the key stadiums if Italy is selected.

Forza Italia!!

... and Poland and Ukraine gets it. We can't catch a f*cking break can we? I'm not really upset Italy doesn't get to host it.. It's the fact that Juve doesn't get a new stadium now. They will just slightly update Delle Alpi to the new rules... Damnit :(

But congrats to the Polish on the forum
