To answer some of the questions about where to watch the Euro 2004....

Home Use: The Euro 2004 is available through local cable companies and through small dish providers. The price for the Euro 2004 for home use is $179.00 for the package of all the games or $19.95 for the first round $24.95 for the Quater Finals, Semi Finals and Final. For more info, check the links below.

It will be on Dish Network, Direct TV, TVN and In-Demand.

P.S. better to travel to canada and watch all the games for free on TSN :(

"Euro 2004- LIVE on closed-circuit TV at selected pubs and restaurants: $20/person per match."

What does that mean exactly? "Closed-circuit"?

its like Pay-Per-View...except only bars and restaurants can get it...so if you wanna see the games you have to find a bar or restaurant that orderes the matches and go watch them there.

You cant see them at home.

yes i believe the action pack is an ongoing service and runs through Euro 2004. just sign up for a month for $4.95 and avoid the tv and news and watch the games a day late.

about the big dishes, those are refer as to, C-Band programming, i remember we got one in '93 at Radio Shack, those things kick ass, cause you could be playing with it changing satellites and there would always be a game feed, not soccer, but say a baseball game, and sometimes it was just the video feed with no commentary but the sound was still there, crowd, etc

it sucks that we no longer have it, although we still have the reciever, maybe when i go broke from dish network i go back to this.

but yes i remember you could subscribe to a channel for one day or week or however you wanted, it was cents a day, kick ass, its alot cheaper. look around websites, search on google for c-band satellite, and you'll see

also directv and dishnetwork get their feeds from c-band

http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/United-States.shtml

^those are free channels i believe and theres alot of them, and there are some pretty goods ones there, GOLTV

and yes c-band equipment is expensive price range $600-maybe $2000, you can get something decent at 8 maybe

and no there is no way you can get sky sports here in the u.s

about euro 2004 coverage, GolTV just aired while ago EURO FEVER, which they showed all the highlights from all the (qual)matches from france, and i just checked the listings and looks like they will be showing the show "euro fever" every tuesday, obviously with a dif. team every week.

let's hope this is a sign that they will have a show come euro 2004 of highlights of all the day games and so forth
