Some of the defending in that Isarel v Croatia game was appalling.

Good result for Cyprus. I think if the Czechs can beat Germany at home it should blow that group wide open.

Israel scoring three goal against croatia shows that they are no push-overs despite their lost. England will surely have their game cut-out for them come february/march.

So Greece and Romania are qualified and Group D is settled with both the Czechs and Germans through.

Group A has Poland at the forefront, only needing 3 points from two games (against Belgium and Serbia) to guarantee progression to their first ever European Championships. Hot on their heels are Portugal with 23 with Serbia and Finland also in with a shout on 20. This Group could be decided on the last matchday with the crunch matchs having to be Portugal v Finland and Serbia v Poland.

Group B has three teams with 1pt between them. Scotland must win at home against Italy to guarantee thier own qualification in their final game. Otherwise the Group will be decided as both Italy and France will go through with an Azzuri win.

Group C has seen Greece given the chance to defend their 2004 crown, and 2nd place is up for grabs in the Norway - Turkey match with the Turks needing a win to put them 1 above Norway, rather than being out of contention with a Norwegian win.

Group E sees a fight to the Finish with Croatia top England second and Russia in third. Russia can qualify if they win thier last 2 games and Croatia only need a point againt FYROM or England.

Group F sees Sweden (23) and Spain (24) only needing to draw eachother on the next matchday to secure both teams progression. Denmark and NIR are on 17 pts so a win is vital if results elsewhere are to go their way too.

Group G Romania already qualified, the Netherlands have a home game needing to win against Luxembourg. to secure their own progression.

Congrats, I imagine beating Malta and Moldova is a great achievement for Turkish football.

It could be... The maltese team is playing quite some interesting football... Ok its not top class like Englang, Italy etc, but for an island having a mere population of 400 people its quite an chievement no??
