Sevillista

Starting XI
Great news for those of us in the US. Beginning this season, ESPN2 will be broadcasting a Premier League match on Saturdays and a La Liga match on Sundays.

La Liga:
- About 20 live matches
- At least 95 league matches on ESPN Deportes
- At least 114 league matches on ESPN 360
- Will also have share rights to the Copa del Rey

EPL:
- Up to 48 live matches
- One match every Saturday at 7:45 am Eastern
- Select Saturday matches at 10 am Eastern, when there are none at 7:45am
- Live presentation of 12 Monday afternoon matches
- I believe some of the matches will be on ESPN 360, but I'm not sure.

This is different though because the old thread was the announcement of ESPN actually acquiring the rights to broadcast in the U.K. The agreement to broadcast an EPL game on the U.S was just reached last friday and I personally didn't realize it until Monday.

Also, How about the new rights of UEFA CL that were gained by FSC earlier this year? Here in the states we now have the option (at least with DirecTv) to ALL current CL games. Now that is amazing

That's gonna be a pain in the ass now that the CL games moved to FSC since I gotta get the sports package, but I'm definitely loving the Liga games on ESPN 2. I'm gonna have the DVR going crazy on the weekends.

That was my first game on ESPN and seriously, The picture was amazing right from the start.. Too bad they had to show the liverpool fans singing their anthem and not their faces at the end.

Those ratings are quite amazing taking into consideration that the game was played on a early monday afternoon. As a football fan, I love what I'm hearing.

So after the third week.. Its a shame that if I wanted to watch all The Real madrid games on T.V.. I would have to get a Spanish package so I can get ESPNdeportes, which is were they are airing most of the games when GolTv don't. Thank goodness for the streams

I watched the Real Madrid vs. Xerez game earlier today. Well, I DVRed it, and just finished watching it a couple of hours ago. La Liga looks great in HD, and I just found out I have ESPNDeportes. I'm so ecstatic, although I feel like an idiot for not knowing this whole time. I'll definitely get my fill of football (both types) on the weekends. (H)

All football looks amazing in HD from what I've seen.. I actually watched sunderland v burnley when ESPN2 passed it. It's just a shame that I can't watch all my Real madrid games on T.V.
