Trying to do some tweaks with sliders and what I know now is: the EA gameplay make the team who is attacking faster than who is defending. Even when the players has the ball on his feet, he is faster than defensive players, and actually in the real soccer only messy do this with accurancy, but with precise dribling almost player can do it. To improved the difficult at professional and legendary the gameplay give more speed and frequency to cpu than user. Using the first and second sliders with run frequency I could reproduced with my team the same situation that i see when i'm defending against cpu. my forwaders like usain bolt against slowers defenders.

Erevos, did you feel that? if it yes, what could be done in in your gameplay?

Yes long shots will be dereased a bit, many times i overdue some things to observe the changes.

about the issue with precision dribbling, occasionaly it happens, im contiunig the searching.

try, you and everyone (even the non testers) setting the Marking/Run Frequency sliders, to 0 for both User/CPU for me these two are a MUST.

Gonna testing with the sliders on 0. About the beta test. Im glad to see the efects on ball. Can you incresead the ratio of the effects and the frequency that they happen?
Im using the first and second sliders on both user cpu at 42 and really "break" the pace of the match, to me its good.
In relation to my post #99 not only the speed is "handcaped" by the gameplay its like the cpu is strongest, with fast frame animation with more smart players and frequency. To me the major problem to correct to fifa 12.
A little off topic: No more complaing about the set pieces on goal kick, the worst on the all fifa editions.

i think anything below 50 at speed/acceleration is making a slow motion effect, like in replays, so i would recommend first to try the values at 50 with slow speed.

speed/acceleration sliders are bad implemented too, (like pass error). Tt doesnt reduce the actual speed in players feet but it reduces the whole speed of the animation, so i will reduce the speed by attributes and not by the sliders.

Pass error slider too is bad implemented, if you raise it instead of misspasses the ball is bouncing...

Yeah values under 50 do that. But also give to the game amore realistic slow pace.
But maybe i prefer 50 ... more animations, more moves by players

You're not the only one.Fifa 11 gameplay was better and became even better after your patches or regularcat.Fifa 12 needs improvement in player support in attack also in defence.Player impact engine is not fully functional and not many fouls.

Realisticaly speaking, modders cant fix some things in FIFA 12, the often "slow responce" in players movement, but the most importand is that sliders dont let the custom tactics and each player attributes to work as they should, a big let down...

At the level that FIFA 11 have reached with my latest unreleased ETGD version, it will take lot of effort to reach it and im not so sure if its possible for FIFA 12.

Your opinion is that is better to keep playing fifa 11 because are small chances modders can improve the gameplay to 12.That's ugly.

nope, my opinion is that gameplay of FIFA 11 is better, FIFA 12 has great modes, by saying that FIFA 11 has better gameplay i dont mean that 12's has awful or something like that.

Ugly or not, at this time 11's modded gameplay is superior, thats my personal opinion ofcourse.

Football isnt about making the gameplay a "slow motion" fest, taking a 2-3 minutes to make an attack in a 7 half time length, football isnt chess.

its not about the amount of tools, i have the feeling that modding will be less effective, and im talking about gameplay.

Well, FIFA 12 is bit close to real simulation of football game. As I know real game half is 45 minute long, and in many times it take more then 10 passes to create a chance. FIFA 12 is a great game if you play 20 min a half. U guys have to realise that 12 is simulation and not arcade. If U want arcade then play PES. I play footbal games since Match day and Emlyn Hughes International Soccer and I'm very happy the way footbal games progress these years. So please don't complain for no reason...:blah:

ehm listen boy.. you arent talking to idiots so dont act like you do.

you wanna talk about simulation? tell me when exactly you have ever saw in fifa two players of the same team jumping for a header? cause in real football happends all the time, or when you saw in real life matches, teams like yeovil or rotheram play a passing game like barcelona? cause in fifa is exactly like that.

im not flaming fifa, but saying that fifa 12 is a simulation is for laughs, it tries to be but it fails. If EA released a game for players to spent 40 min to a single match thats a failure!

as for PES i've played it until pes 6 and when fifa 11 came out (best football game for me) i've switched to fifa, so dont be rude.

First I have to say that I'm sorry if I insult someone, didn't mean to do that. Now, about headers it all depends on situation, if it is in the midfield or in the box. And if I see teammates clashes in the midfield I would consider them as an idiots. But surely U are right that those clashes doesn't happen often enough. And I must admit that U're right about difficulty of the game, meaning that low rated clubs sometimes play to perfect, with right timed dribbling and to precise passing especially long one. Some of the game aspects can be modified with those sliders, but it can ruin uniqueness of the game. But I still think that FIFA 12 is step further then 11 (and 13 one step more), and not the perfect one. About playing time, well that is something connected with the different tastes. I would like to play 2x45min (and result something like 2:0 for anyone), and I do think I'm minority...
As a conclusion I would like to say that I think FIFA 12 will give me enough fun ( right now more then 11), and that I don't feel like lamenting over something that guys from EA will improve anyway next (or some other) year, just if they read what fans have to say about their game, and if they consider that those are well-intentioned objections...

well you are certainly a minority about match lengths mate :)

im just saying that i prefer a realistic game not a simulation, a true simulation will demand 90 minutes matches etc. lets dont forget, we are playing a game to have fun!
