The Red Devil
Giggsy and Gary Neville can probably read eachother like a book, should be a great contest between the lads, I hope the latter comes out on top. (H)

Gonna be a great match
Both sides have some very good young players. England have Rooney and Wales have Earnshaw. I think Wales will win at home and it will be very close at Old Trafford

We'll beat them at home for definite, the Sais will freeze under the intimidating atmosphere at the Millennium Stadium with 70,000+ Welsh fans jeering at them.

As for Old Trafford... well, we'll be the underdogs and we won't have any pressure, and I found in previous matches that when we don't have pressure on us, we do well against the bigger nations. I reckon it'd end in a 1-1 draw but even better if we win away from home...

Especially if we win 1-0 and our fans sing "1-0 to the sheepshaggers", without any hint of irony (H)

I'm posting this now because I want to.
It is for WC06.
Wales will get some points out of it, probably more than England.

I honestly think this is our best chance in ages in qualifying for the World Cup.

I've got a good idea.
A new tournament. Kind of like Six Nations. But instead of just one league, two groups with three teams each and the winner of each group goes through to the final. Rotate the groups each year. The teams could be, England, Wales, Scotland, N.Ireland, Ireland, France and Italy.

We should get maximum points against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan, and get something out of the games between Poland and Austria.

Poland aren't as good as they were the last time we were in a qualifying group with them (in the WC2002 qualifiers), and Austria are certainly beatable (even Moldova beat them in the last qualifiers). With the Sais in disarray over their Euro 2004 exit, and us in confident mood after four good results to ease the pain over that playoff defeat to Russia, I think they're there for the taking.

England should win this group without losing a match.
Wales is the likely 2nd but Poland and Austria will likely provide serious competition for that playoff spot. N. Ireland and Azerbajan should finsish 5th and 6th respectively.
