Why no Defoe?

He's been a damn sight better than Rooney, Jermain should have been called up. I mean, Glen Johnson has played more minutes than Rooney - believe me, he'll be the next Gary Neville for England. Also, Joe Cole deserves another crack at the team, he's been superb for us the past few months.

as you can see by logo and sig i'm a saints fan but I think half of england is in shock with that attacking line up. Sven really has gone potty! He's left out England's most inform striker for Rooney who, whilst definately for the future, isn't good enough now and Francis Jeffers. I've always said this, and I always will, Jeffers is ****. Plain, simple, pure unadulterated crap.

My mate is a skate (portsmouth fan) and even HE thinks Beattie should be called up. If anyone disagrees i'll duff you up! :f***:

a good squad, bar the attack. Nice to see Terry and Dyer in, though i'm a bit suprised at the omission of Joe Cole. Still, there's got to be logic somewhere in that Swede.

couldn't agree more with that
20 league goals in a season isn't a fluke.
And even for the last few months when people were starting to say tht he'll lose it ... well he kept bagging them in (he certainly banged it in last Saturday, what a strike)
Beattie must feel very disillusioned and rightly so.
Jeffers should't even get a say, he's nothing but a cheap cheat

I'm very dissapointed not to see Beattie on the squad. I'm glad to see Jenas, Dyer and Woodgate. Combined with there afforts England should be unstopable but that is very unpredictable. I just hope we don't have any repeats of the Aussie game.
I'll be at the Stadium of Light on the 2nd of April are school got last minute tickets, cant wait:rockman:
